The RAS 2018 Prelims Exam was held on 24th June 2018. The exam was conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The exam was for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs) and Assistant Section Officers (ASOs).
The exam was divided into two parts: Part I and Part II. Part I was of 200 marks and Part II was of 100 marks.
Part I of the exam consisted of questions on General Studies, English Language and Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability, and General Mental Ability.
Part II of the exam consisted of questions on Indian Polity and Governance, Indian economy, General Science, and Current Affairs.
The cutoff for the RAS 2018 Prelims Exam was 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for the exam were 33% for General Category candidates, 25% for OBC-NCL candidates, 20% for SC/ST candidates, and 15% for PWD candidates.
The results of the RAS 2018 Prelims Exam were declared on 15th August 2018. The list of candidates who qualified for the Mains Exam was also released on the same day.
The RAS 2018 Mains Exam was held on 25th and 26th November 2018. The exam was divided into two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I was of 300 marks and Paper II was of 200 marks.
Paper I of the exam consisted of questions on General Studies, Indian Polity and Governance, Indian Economy, General Science, and Current Affairs.
Paper II of the exam consisted of questions on English Language and Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability, and General Mental Ability.
The results of the RAS 2018 Mains Exam were declared on 15th January 2019. The list of candidates who qualified for the Personality test was also released on the same day.
The RAS 2018 Personality Test was held on 26th and 27th February 2019. The Personality Test was conducted by the RPSC.
The results of the RAS 2018 Personality Test were declared on 15th March 2019. The list of candidates who were selected for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) and Assistant Section Officer (ASO) was also released on the same day.
The final selection of candidates for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) and Assistant Section Officer (ASO) was based on the marks obtained in the Prelims Exam, Mains Exam, and Personality Test.
