Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age as on January 1, 2024. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern
The West Bengal Police SI Exam 2024 will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination
- Objective Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 200
- Syllabus:
- General Studies: Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Current Affairs, General Science, Environment, Disaster Management, etc.
- Reasoning Ability: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, etc.
- Mathematics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.
- General English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, etc.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Qualifying Nature: Candidates need to clear the PET to be eligible for the next stage.

- Race: 1600 meters (for both male and female)
- High Jump:
- Male: 1.22 meters (4 feet)
- Female: 1.07 meters (3.5 feet)
- Long Jump:
- Male: 4.57 meters (15 feet)
- Female: 3.66 meters (12 feet)
- Shot Put:
- Male: 7.26 kg (16 lbs)

Stage 3: Medical Examination
- Qualifying Nature: Candidates need to clear the medical examination to be eligible for the final selection.
- Medical Standards: Candidates must be medically fit as per the prescribed standards.
