The Bihar Commission (Bpsc) has released the notification for the Assistant Professor Exam 2024. The exam will be held on February 26, 2024. The application process has started and will end on January 31, 2024.

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
  • The candidate must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
  • The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.

The age limit for the exam is as follows:

  • The candidate must be between 21 and 37 years of age on the first day of the examination.

The application fee for the exam is as follows:

  • General category candidates: Rs. 1000
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates: Rs. 500

The exam will be conducted in two parts:

  • Part I: The objective type paper will be of 100 marks.
  • Part II: The descriptive type paper will be of 200 marks.

The results of the exam will be declared on the website of the BPSC. The candidates who qualify in the exam will be called for the interview. The interview will be conducted for 100 marks.

The final selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the written exam and the interview.

The candidates who are selected in the exam will be appointed as Assistant Professors in the government colleges of Bihar. The salary of the Assistant Professors is as follows:

  • Pay Band: 37,400 – 1,12,400
  • Grade Pay: 9300

The total emoluments of the Assistant Professors are as follows:

  • Basic Pay: 37,400
  • DA: 12,840
  • HRA: 6,420
  • TA: 4,000
  • CPF: 1,870

The Assistant Professors will also be entitled to the following benefits:
