In a bid to overcome acute shortage of skilled paramedical professionals in the state, Haryana Government has chalked out a policy to introduce paramedical degree courses in government and private medical colleges.

The policy has been developed keeping in view the ever emerging need of paramedical care in the medical field especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the fierce second wave of COVID-19, Haryana also witnessed shortage of paramedical professionals, who assist the doctors in treatment and care of patients.

The policy has been prepared to start paramedical courses including B.Sc Radiotherapy Technology, B.Sc Radiography & Imaging Technology, B.Sc Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc Perfusion Technology, B.Sc Operation Theatre and B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology in medical colleges of the state.

Punjab coming up with 75 PSA plants to combat third Covid wave

In order to augment the supplies and ensure adequate medical Oxygen in all thestate healthcare institutionsas well as private hospitals, thePunjab governmentwill set up 75 pressure swing adsorption (PSA) Plants in all the districts to combat the much-anticipated third Covid wave in the state.

While two plants atBarnalaand Nangal have already been made functional, the work on others is in full swing. Two under trial plants at Medical Colleges of Amritsar and Patiala have also been commissioned.

Besides, more than 5,000 oxygen concentrators (OCs) have also been provided to all the state hospitals, community Health centres and health and wellness centres to take care of any emergent requirements. Furthermore, 3,000 OCs purchased by the Punjab Government with assistance of the are being distributed to the state hospitals.

Nod to Rs 194-crore road infrastructure projects for Himachal

The Union Government today approved 12 projects amounting to Rs 194.58 crore under Central Road and Fund (CRIF) scheme for the state.

The approved projects include Rs 16.62-crore bridge over Markanda river in Sirmaur district, Rs 22.82 crore bridge over Beas at Kothipattan on Dharampur Sandhole road in Mandi district, Rs 10.07 crore bridge over Markanda river on Moginand to Suketi road in Sirmaur district, Rs 8.39 crore project for widening of Ara Chowk to Jourbar road in Kangra district, Rs 14.60 crore for double lane pre-bridge with footpath over Beas at Thalout in Mandi district and Rs 21.03 crore for widening of Parour Dheera Naura road in Kangra district.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat announced that all ponds and water bodies situated in all villages and near villages, which are recorded in revenue records will be revived in the next one year. Climate budgeting will be started in the state to mainstream works related to climate change in the financial year 2022-23. Rawat said this after planting a Jamun sapling at his residence at GMS Road in Dehradun on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The CM appealed to the citizens to plant trees to contribute their bit for environmental conservation. Stating that protection of the Environment is related to the life of the common man, he said that environmental conservation is a . Referring to this years World Environment Day theme of ecosystem restoration, he said that special focus will have to be laid on tree plantation and environmental protection to decrease rising pollution levels along with checking the rising pressure on the ecosystem.

Bihar: Gaya, Aurangabad to have oxygen plants soon

The districts ofMagadhdivision are gearing up to meet the demand of Oxygen in a pandemic like situation or if cases of acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) or Japanese Encephalitis (JE) are reported in the coming days. Work onoxygen plantin Gaya is near completion,while Aurangabad also will have an oxygen plant soon.

Work on oxygen plant at Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH) is near completion. Preparations for AES and the JE in pediatrics ward of ANMMCH are going on. During the second wave of Covid, the demand of oxygen increased manifold, which was met through much efforts.

Lack of map delays construction work of Itkhori temple museum in Jharkhand

The work to construct a museum at theMaa Bhadrakali temple in Itkhoricame to a standstill after the consultant company failed to provide the map of the project.

Itkhori is an ancient centre of confluence for three religions , Jainisim and Buddhism. The State Government had plans to develop the place as a tourist hotspot and it decided to construct a museum, a giant prayer wheel, a mega Gate, restaurants and parks, among others.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday virtually launched a Rs 20 crore Aromatic Kondanar project to promote aromatic crops in Kondagaon district. A MoU was signed on the occasion.

Covering 2,000 acres of land, a farmers cluster will form an Aroma Hub and cultivate seven species of aromatic Plants: Lemon grass, Palmorosa, Patchouli (mint), Munga, Amadi (mango ginger), Vetiver (khus) and Basil, an official Communication said.

The aromatic crop will be processed at the essential oil processing unit to be established at Kondagaon. It is estimated that farmers linked with the aromatic crop will annually earn Rs 1 lakh per acre. The land identified for the project includes 425 acres of individual land and 1,575 acres of Forest Department land.

The project estimates that 200 families will get direct and 750 families indirect benefit from the aromatic crop.

In addition, inter- of cashew nut, coconut, litchi, and custard apples will be done.

The Kondagaon District Administration and Sun Flag Agro Pvt Ltd signed the MoU to establish a processing plant with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes.

Madhya Pradesh cabinet approves subsidy in power tariff for farmers

State cabinet headed by chief ministerShivraj Singh Chouhan approved subsidy in tariff fixed by theMadhya PradeshElectricity Regulatory Commission forfarmersand 98 lakh domestic consumers. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also asked theMSMEdepartment to frame a policy to encourage rice mills and ethanol production in the state.

The Home minister said that subsidy for farmers with 10 h p pumps is close to Rs One lakh per year which is paid by the state while the farmer needs to pay a very nominal sum. Added to this there are 98 lakh domestic consumers who get electricity at Rs 100 per month. The power subsidy burden on the state treasury is Rs 21,000 crores.

Gujarat Technological University team takes up project to develop 5G antennae

A research team ofGujarat Technological Universityhas undertaken an ambitious project of developing 5G antennae more effective than ones made by China. The project is aimed at indigenous development of technologies to supplement 5G connectivity.

The team led by Gautam Makwana of the universitys Graduate School of Engineering and Technology, has undertaken this pilot project, which once developed would accelerate development in wireless transmission in a big way.
