More than 11000 patients have received Covid-19 treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Mission in the state.

Khattar said that the state took a novel initiative by constituting ‘Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority’ which has so far spent an amount of Rs 4 crore on the COVID-19 testing of 10791 persons. Furthermore, an amount of more than one core has been spent on the treatment of 583 patients.

Testing and Treatment of COVID-19 Pandemic is also included in the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana from April 4, 2020. Since then, the Haryana government has spent an amount of Rs 5 crore on the treatment of COVID-19 patients covered under this scheme, he added. In Haryana 15.50 lakh families are registered under the mission who are entitled to free medical treatment worth Rs five lakh annually. In all, 593 hospitals in the state are empanelled of which 176 are the government hospitals and 417 are the private ones. So far, these hospitals have claimed an amount of Rs 315 crore for the treatment of 2.59 lakh patients. Out of these, a claim of Rs 263 crore has been paid by the government for the treatment of 2.33 lakh patients, the Chief Minister said.

Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was launched in the country on August 15, 2018 and under this, Haryana is the first state in the country which has paid the medical claim raised under Ayushman Bharat.

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh asked the Employment Generation and Training Department to give a further push to achieve the target of one lakh government jobs at the earliest.

The Chief Minister, reviewing the progress of EMPLOYMENT Generation and Training Department, lauded its efforts in facilitating 17.61 lakh jobs in government, private besides self-employment since March 2017 even during the trying circumstances of COVID-19.

He also asked the Department to give special thrust on the Skill development training as it would be instrumental in making our youth skilled as per the needs of the local .

Himachal board to award marks to Class X pupils

With the deciding to promote all Class X students without examinations due to the pandemic, the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBSE) is considering developing a criteria to promote students.

For this purpose, committees have been formed at the school level. There will be tabulation committees and data entry committees headed by school principals. Then there will be tabulation verification committees that will check data entered by the other two committees. It is only after verification committees certify data that it will be entered and marks will be awarded to students.

Chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat inaugurated Garud the telemedicine service started by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Monday. A total of 898 trained medical and paramedical students will provide relevant information and consultation to citizens in all 110 Tehsils through this service.

Speaking at the inauguration of the telemedicine service, the chief minister appreciated the initiative taken by Aiims Rishikesh to involve youths of the medical and paramedical . He said that the State Government is making consistent efforts to ensure that as many doctors as possible are posted in the state. The biggest challenge in the current times is to strengthen connectivity and Health systems in the border areas of the state, he said. Rawat said that it had been noticed in the past few days that while the Covid situation appeared to have stabilised in the urban areas, the graph is rising in the rural areas. Considering this, all the officials concerned have been directed to establish control rooms at each block. Before this, control rooms were being made at the district level. The chief minister further said that the state government is presenting the testing data in a transparent manner.

The testing in Uttarakhand is more than the national Average which clearly shows that more testing is being conducted in the state. The state government is also making efforts to ensure that all necessary preparations are completed before the onset of the third wave of Covid-19.

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that despite the onslaught of the second Covid wave across the state and disruption in economic activities due to partial lockdown, the state achieved a record revenue realisation of Rs 11,196.49 crore against the target of Rs 13,175 crore in April, the first month of the 2021-22 fiscal. He said that in the corresponding period in April last year, the recovery was only Rs 1,298 crore, which was less by Rs 9,898 crore.

The positive Growth in revenue recovery during the pandemic is a welcome sign for the economy of the state. Against the target of Rs 4,965.35 crore for GST, the actual revenue collection was Rs 5,157 crore in April this year. The GST collection in April 2020 was only Rs 670 crore. The collection of VAT in April this year was Rs 1,307 crore against the target of Rs 826.53 crore. VAT collection in April 2020 was only Rs 402.22 crore, Khanna said.

The minister said that revenue collection from the Excise department in April this year was Rs 3,240 crore against the target of Rs 3,940 crore. In April last year, the collection from Excise department was only Rs 53.46 crore. Similarly, collections from Stamps and Registration department in April this year was Rs 1,218.39 crore against the target of Rs 1,854 crore while it was only Rs 17.41 crore in April last year.

The collection from Transport department was Rs 553.95 crore in April 2021 against the target of Rs 771 crore while in April 2020, it was only Rs 100 crore. From the Geology and MMining department, the revenue collection in April 2021 stood at Rs 199.74 crore against the target of Rs 338 crore while it was Rs 54.16 crore in April last year.

Jharkhand CM launches free vax drive for 18-44 yrs, 38,000 inoculated

Chief minister Hemant Soren on Friday inaugurated the Phase III statewide Covid-19 freevaccination driveto inoculate people in the age group of 18 and 44 years. Of the total of 1.57 crore beneficiaries eligible in this phase, 37,682 people were vaccinated at 585 sites on the inaugural day.

Soren inaugurated the drive from thevaccinationsession site set up for the phase at Shri Krishna Institute of Public Administration (SKIPA) on Meurs Road and he oversaw the vaccination of the first two beneficiaries.

Though Soren promised free Vaccines for all in the state, the Health department is yet to chalk out its strategy for initiating the drive in private hospitals of the state. As of Friday,Jharkhandhad 1,483 session sites, of which 37 are private. Sources in the department said the vaccine will be administered at sites run by the government until further consignments of Covishield andCovaxinarrive in the state. Currently, Jharkhand has procured a little over four lakh doses for the drive.

Bihar: Private oxygen plants told to divert supply from industries to hospitals

The on Thursday diverted 90% of Oxygen manufactured by three private Plants in Patna for use by all hospitals treating Covid-19 patients in Patna as demand for medical oxygen has skyrocketed in the last few days, and suppliers are unable to meet the requirement.

Industries department additional chief secretary Brijesh Mehrotra directed Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh to divert the oxygen supply from industrial units to hospitals at a high-level virtual meeting held.

At the meeting, the industries department authorities established contact with multinational gas plants outside the state who agreed to supply liquid oxygen for Patna hospitals.

At 3%, Chhattisgarhs joblessness much less than national average of 10%: Govt

Citing a report by Center for Monitoring Indian economy (CMI), the said thatChhattisgarhs Unemployment rate at 3%, is much less than the national Average of 10.8%.

The report shows that with 3%, Chhattisgarhs unemployment rate is much less than that of Haryana, Goa, Delhi, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh,Maharashtra, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura.

Works were allotted under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural EMPLOYMENT Guarantee Scheme in response to the demands coming from less affected rural areas in the state. Forestry and tendu leaf collection is also being done in the forest areas.

According to TRIFED data, minor forest produce worth Rs 181 crore 25 lakhs was procured in the country at minimum support price in the financial year 2020-21 and minor forest produce worth Rs 136.63 crore was procured in Chhattisgarh alone. Similarly, more than two-thirds of the target of 11.44 lakh standard bags of Tendu leaves has been collected in Chhattisgarh so far. Around 13 lakh families get employment due to Tendu Leaves collection in the state. The wage rate for tendu leaf collection has been increased from Rs 2500 thousand to Rs 4000 thousand in the state.

According to the latest data released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) in the month of May, the unemployment rate stood at 35.5% in Haryana, 28% in Rajasthan, 27.3% in Delhi, 25.7% in Goa, 17.3% in Tripura, 16.5% in Jharkhand, 11.5% in Bihar , 11.4% in Jammu and Kashmir, 11% in Himachal Pradesh, 7.6% in West Bengal, 7.5% in Kerala, 6.3% in Uttar Pradesh, 6% in Uttarakhand, 5.5% in Maharashtra, 5.3% in Punjab, 5% in Telangana, 4.9% in Andhra Pradesh.

Through the ‘Vaidya Aapke Dwar’ scheme launched by the Department of AYUSH, free AYUSH medical specialists can be consulted through live video call from home. The three disciplines of AYUSH, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani, can be availed under the scheme.

The Department of AYUSH has made this scheme available through the telemedicine app with the aim of making AYUSH Health service accessible to the common people even at Home. In today’s era of information technology, telemedicine is the harmonizing form of medical sciences, engineering. Under this, both the patient and the doctor will be able to use specially designed app ‘AyushQure’. Through this, patients will be able to consult with the doctor directly through video call. If required by the doctor, they will be able to conduct various tests and upload them. Based on this, doctors will be able to give advice. The doctor will call the patient in the hospital only if it is more necessary.

Gujarat: 348 community health centres to get Oxygen beds

Considering the spread of coronavirus infections inrural areas, thestate governmenthas decided to provide Oxygen beds to 348 community Health centres (CHCs).

The announced on Wednesday that everyCHCwill be equipped with between 30 and 50 oxygen beds.

A Surat-based company will set up an oxygen generation, storage, and bottling plant. The company will provide oxygen to between 30 and 50 beds in each of the 348 CHCs.
