Haryana Government to take Rs 523 cr loan from SIDBI

CM Manohar Lal Khattar said the government had decided to take a loan of Rs 523 crore from the Small Industries of India (SIDBI) for cluster Infrastructure development.

This loan will be taken for 2021-22, which will be available at low interest rate. This loan can be used for the Programme to Accelerate Development for MSME Advancement (PADMA) scheme and other cluster development schemes of the government.

Rs25 cr to be spent on improving water supply in Bilaspur

Providing potable water to people is the priority of the government and over Rs 1,000 crore is being spent on improving the water supply system in the state.

This was stated by Subhash Thakur, MLA, Bilaspur, after laying the foundation stone of water supply schemes worth Rs 25 crore. The MLA performed a bhumi poojan for the Rs 20 crore Bhatoli water supply scheme and Rs 5 crore water supply scheme at Malyawar.

He said the Bhatoli scheme would provide sufficient water to 16 panchayats that were facing the water shortage, especially during summer seasons. He said eight water storage tanks would be constructed and over 2,370 water connections would be installed. He said to improve the water supply in the constituency, over Rs 14 crore was being spent.

BiharState Mining Corporation Limited is conducting environmental audit in accordance with the central governments Environmental Guide 2020 to prevent illegal mining in the state.Officials claimed that there are many environmental rules for sand mining and their compliance is very important. Keeping this in mind, environmental audit of all sand ghats of Bihar has been started.

Contractors have been selected and sand mining has been started in Bihar. As sand mining against prescribed standards is dangerous for nature, river Ecosystems and sustainable environmental protection, the mining corporation is conducting environmental audit.

These agencies will use latest technology and drones to inspect the respective sand ghats. They will be directed to audit the sand ghats on random basis.

Chhattisgarh: One Nation One Ration Card

In the state of Chhattisgarh, the One Nation One Ration card program was recently implemented.

Highlights:

The One Nation, One Ration card concept has been implemented in 35 states and union territories.

It presently covers 96.8% of the people covered by the National Act. The Aadhaar number is connected to the ration cards under the Scheme.

In addition, public distribution stores have e-point-of-sale machines.

The food subsidies will be distributed to the recipients at any ration outlet. Previously, they could only enter the ward where their card had been registered.

Benefits:

Previously, if a person moved, they had to apply for a new ration card. Thanks to the one nation, one ration card, the geographical barrier have been erased.

GoI Approval For Renaming Places In MP

The Indian government has approved the renaming of three locations in Madhya Pradesh.

Hoshangabad Nagar will be renamed “Narmadapuram,” Shivpuri will be renamed “Kundeshwar Dham,” and Babai will be renamed “Makhan Nagar,” according to the Indian government.

Hoshangabad Nagar was renamed Narmadapuram after Hoshang Shah, the first fully anointed Sultan of the Malwa Sultanate of Central India.

Babai has been renamed in honour of Makhanlal Chaturvedi, a well-known journalist and poet.

Makhanlal Chaturvedi was born in Babai, Madhya Pradesh, and in 1992, the government dedicated a national university of journalism and Communication after him in Bhopal.

Wells with depleted water levels up 26% in Gujarat in two years

First Time A Women Vice Chancellor For JNU

Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit was recently appointed as the administrator of Nehru University (JNU). She is the first woman VC of the university.
