Inviting the industrialists to set up base in Haryana, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that the Government has created a conducive Environment and providing various facilities to them.

They will not face any problem in doing business in HaryanaThe Government has created a single room system, under which all types of permissions to industries are given in 45 days, said Khattar, while addressing the industrialists after releasing the coffee table book Sikh Business Leaders of India authored by Dr Prabhleen at a programme organized in Delhi.

Stating that the has made four categories A, B, C and D, he elaborated that if industries are set up in category C and D zones, the State Government will reimburse Rs 4,000 per worker per month for the next four years.

Hailing the huge contribution of the Sikh community to the state, the country, and the world, Khattar said: This community is a working community and has worked hard with struggle to advance their business, family, country and Society. They are also working to take forward and uplift the needy, who have been left behind from the mainstream due to some reason.

Punjab Govt to promote cultivation of moong, short-duration paddy

With the beginning of the wheat procurement season, the government is making a concerted effort to promote cultivation of alternative crops to the water guzzling paddy in the upcoming kharif Marketing season (KMS).

On the agenda for the next crop marketing season is increasing the area under and basmati, promoting short duration variety of paddy and moong cultivation. This has been highlighted in the concept paper on crop diversification. The recommendations in this paper are now to be implemented by a committee headed by Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua.

Area under cotton to be increased by 52 lakh hectares and area under basmati to be increased by 1.06 lakh hectares

This step will enhance the alert system to predict future weather trends, while alerting meteorologists to upcoming Precipitation, storms or severe weather, which will help to adopt the safety measures much in advance.

The Doppler Radar Technology will enable the meteorologists to accurately forecast the arrival of precipitation and ability to forecast the location, the intensity and severity of the bad weather and to highlight whether theres a high or low Probability of danger to life and property. The frequent occurrence of heavy rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms in Himachal, makes it even more pertinent to have these radar stations, thereby enhancing the weather monitoring capabilities, enabling the administration to make early arrangements to mitigate damages caused by disasters and to ensure safety of life.

FDAs campaign against food adulteration continues in State

The Food Safety and Drugs Administration (FDA) department of Uttarakhand on the orders of the FDA commissioner, R Rajesh Kumar has undertaken a campaign against food adulteration in the State. On Monday a combined team under deputy commissioner of Garhwal division and deputy commissioner of headquarters conducted a surprise inspection of hotels, resorts, camps and restaurants in Shivpuri, Rishikesh area of Tehri district.

The deputy commissioner (headquarters) GC Kandwal said that in hotel Grand Shiva resort 12 kg of chicken meat stored in unhygienic conditions was destroyed. Similarly samples of milk and unpacked paneer were taken from this place. The team collected samples of gravy and refined oil from Grand Tapovan Resort Shivpuri, Rishikesh. Samples of turmeric and red chilli powder were collected from Wonder Camp Shivpuri. Samples of paneer and coriander power were also collected from H O A resort. Here a large quantity of spices and other edible items were seized as they were found to have crossed the date of safe usage.

Focus on 10 sectors to achieve $1 trillion economy: UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief MinisterYogi Adityanathhas directed officials to prepare a detailed action plan focusing on 10 sectors in coordination with all the important departments related to the of the state to achieve the goal of $ 1 trillion (Rs 82 lakh crore) economy in the next four years, said a government spokesperson.

The 10 sectors are: Law and order, agricultural production, social security, Infrastructure and industrial development, urban development, rural development, medical and Health, Education, tourism and culture and revenue collection.

Upbeat with Investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore received through the recently heldGlobal Investors Summitand a historic budget of Rs 6.90 lakh crore for the financial year 2023-2024, the State Government has embarked on its mission to establish the state as the country’s largest economy by 2027. The responsibility of each of these sectors has been given to an experienced officer of the level of additional chief secretary.

JBVNL launches One Time Settlement scheme

One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) has been started from 1st April to clear the dues of common electricity consumers. The scheme will run till June 30. During this, common electricity consumers up to 5 MW can pay the dues till December 31, 2022, in five installments. Their Delay Payment Surcharge (DPS) will also be forgiven. Consumers whose electricity connection has been cut due to arrears can also join this scheme.

However, the consumers who have availed OTS in the past will not get its benefit. The has decided to give big relief to the common electricity consumers. Under which DPS will be waived on payment of outstanding installments.

Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited revenue collection up 35%

Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited(Bsphcl) recorded 35% increase in revenue collection in financial year 2022-2023. As compared to fiscal 2021-2022, the holding company collected Rs 4,527 crore more revenue amounting to Rs 17,315 crore. In financial year 2021-2022,BSPHCLhad collected Rs 12,788 crore.

State energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said, Under the Leadership of chief minister Nitish Kumar, we have brought several changes and stepped up the revenue collection drive that resulted in strong results.

Chhattisgarh leads in maintaining, upgrading PMGSY roads

Chhattisgarh is currently the leading state in the country in maintaining and upgrading the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana PMGSY. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded the efforts of the .

Under PMGSY, 2,589 roads of 16,297 km have been constructed in Chhattisgarh with an expenditure of Rs 8,736 crore.

This is mainly due to the government’s consistent allocation of funds towards the renovation of these roads as per the directive of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the statement said.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ravindra Choubey said there has been significant progress in the maintenance and upgradation of roads constructed under the PMGSY in the Naxalite-affected Bastar division.

The maintenance of 75 roads, totaling 231 km, was completed at a cost of Rs 37 crore.

Similarly, 146 roads in the tribal-dominated area of Surguja division, spanning a length of 560 km, were maintained at a cost of Rs 90 crore. The Minister said no funding was provided by the Centre for these works. However, the state has sought Central government funding for these initiatives.

Dhars dinosaur fossils to be included in the UNIESCO World Heritage List

The Dinosaur Fossil at Bagh area of Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh is set to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Eco Tourism Development Board is preparing its draft. The tourism department will send this proposal to UNESCO through the Government of India.

This will be the first site in the country where dinosaur fossils are found.

Along with this, 65 million years old eggs of carnivorous dinosaurs were also found. This place was one of the safest places for them to lay their eggs. Fossils of 256 eggs have been found here. Eggs joined in many layers becoming fossilized.

The board is also trying to include these parks in the country’s first UNESCO Global Geo Park list along with the World Heritage List. This area is the oldest dinosaur fossil site in Asia. This area was notified as Dinosaur Fossil National Park in the year 2011.

Satpura Tiger Reserve and Bhedaghat-Lamheta Ghat in Jabalpur were included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2021. Only those sites with specific characteristics are included in the list of potential sites. At present, the temples of Khajuraho, the caves of Bhimbetka and the Stupa of Sanchi are included in the World Heritage List in the state.

Logistics infrastructure to be priority sector in Gujarat Industrial Development Act

Infrastructure will be accorded priority sector status under theGujarat Industrial Development(GID) Act, the State Government said.

With this, the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB) will be able to partner with the private sector to jointly take up big infrastructure development projects through the private public PARTNERSHIP (PPP) mode.

In a significant decision, the state government decided to set up a special Investment region (SIR) near Navakhi to ensure integrated development in coastal villages. A consultant for the proposed project will soon be appointed, the official statement said. The officials of the industries and mines department and other departments concerned provided an overview of the water requirements of the Industry in 2050.
