In one of the major steps to address the needs of locals, the directorate has now decided to generate livelihood for villagers living in the nine hill districts ofUttarakhandas per the changing Environment with the Climate responsive Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture system.

So, as per theWorld Bankapproved project — Uttarakhand Climate Responsive Rain-fedFarming Project, the State Government has now decided to introduce modern technologies and innovative ways to bring source of EMPLOYMENT at their doorstep keeping changing climate at the core of planning. Villagers will be provided different Options of farming and Livestock rearing so that the border areas and Mountains are not hit by the heat of Climate Change.

Uttarakhand is known for its Millets, pulses and rice. Even in the hills people have started complaining of huge variation between day and night temperature impacting their overall lifestyle, thereby earnings. It will be for the first time that in such a large scale, mountain people are being shifted to other kinds of farming.

UP: Ayodhya sees 30% jump in registrations as land deals surge

The Uttar Pradesh stamp and registration department has revealed thatAyodhyasaw a rise of over 30% in registrations over the previous year as land deals have reportedly shot up since the construction of theRam Templebegan.

Data shows that in 2021-22, Ayodhya saw a collection of Rs 10,141 crore as stamp duty and registration fees as against Rs 7,602 crore in 2020-21, a rise of 33%. Ayodhya is one of more such areas where we have seen stamp duty collections rise over the past year.

Besides, the department has seen its revenue rise by 20% in 2021-22 over the previous year, collecting close to 80% of the targeted revenue. The rise, say officials, can be attributed to government schemes like development of industrial corridors, Jewar airport etc.

Jharkhand to add 320MW of power through four solar parks

At a time when the country is staring at power crisis due to the short supply of coal to thermal power stations,Jharkhandis preparing for the challenge by clearing the decks for installation of solar power. The total installed capacity of the state through renewables would supersede the indigenous installed capacity through non-renewables. Four solar parks of 80MWs each have been planned to be installed in Garhwa, Palamu, Simdega, and Deoghar. Tender has been floated to invite parties to conduct topography survey, geo-technical investigation, hydrological study and assessment of social and environmental impact over the plots selected for these solar parks.

At present, the only state-owned power generation unit is of Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited (TVNL), which is a thermal plant with an installed capacity of 2X210MWs, of which one unit is functional. Yet another operational unit is ofSubarn Rekha Hydel Power(SRHP) of 130MWs. Once the solar parks see the Light of the dayinstalled thermal capacity would remain at 420MWs whereas the installed capacity through renewables would reach 450MWs. As of now, around 52MW solar power Plants are operational.

The solar parks would be photovoltaic grid connected with the option of including storage. The ground mounted PV solar parks produce electricity during the day time and feed the electricity to the nearest grid whereas once connected with storage, power produced can be used as an alternate to the grid power in case of short supply.

Bihar bags second prize in National MSME Award 2022

Bihar has bagged the second prize in National MSME Award 2022 to States/UTs for outstanding contributions to the promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) sector. PM Narendra Modi will give the award in a function to be organised by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises at Delhi on June 30.

The minister claimed that the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojna(MUY) was limited to SC/ST only at the time of its launch in 2018 but it has been inclusive of the Backward, Extreme backward, general and Women category from financial year 2021-22.
The scheme has proved to be very effective in including youths of Bihar to the path of states industrialization. In the fiscal 2021-22, 16,000 beneficiaries were selected under Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojna who are given financial assistance of Rs10lakh, Shahnawaz said.

Shahnawaz said 25% of Industrial land ofBihar Industrial Area Development Authority(BIADA) is reserved for MSME units.

He claimed that Growth of 171.67% has been registered under MUY in fiscal 2021-22 as compared fiscal 2019-20.

The first and third prizes in the National MSME Award 2022 have been achieved by Odisha and Haryana respectively.

Educated youths from special backward tribes to get govt jobs in Chhattisgarh

Educated youths from special backward tribes inChhattisgarhwill be given government jobs through the direct recruitment process as per qualifications. The move will benefit over 9,000 youths belonging to particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) such as Pahari Korwa, Birhor, Kamar, Bhunjia, Abujhmadia, Baiga and Pando.

There are as many as 9623 such youths from these communities in the 17 districts, and sanction has been granted to recruit those eligible to vacant Class III and IV posts through direct recruitment process.

Cabinet approves land for forensic science varsity

The council of ministers approved a plot of 6.082 hectare at village Barkheda Bondar in Huzur tehsil,Bhopalfor the establishment of a campus of the National Forensic Science University, Gandhinagar.

Rural tourism units get fiscal incentives

The industries department issued an order giving fiscal incentives to the rural tourism units registered with the tourism department.

In the amendments, the department said rural tourism units with investments of over Rs 1 crore can take benefits offered under theRajasthan Promotion Scheme. Earlier, units making investments of over Rs 2 crore were eligible for the benefits.

Besides, the order also increased additional investment subsidy from 25% to 100% for these units. It also increased the duration of the benefits from seven years to 10 years.

Progressive decline in Covid-19 cases in northeast: Union minister Jitendra Singh

Union ministerJitendra Singh said there is a progressive decline in Covid-19 cases in all eight northeastern states but cautioned that the fall in active cases must be followed with greater thrust on vaccination and strict observance of relevant protocols.

Meghalaya is the only exception which witnessed a surge due to the Covid-19 cases at a prison in Ri-bhoi district, he said.

Adopt ‘zero tolerance’ policy for crimes against women: Assam CM

The officer in-charges of Police stations acrossAssamhave been directed to adopt a “zero Tolerance” policy while dealing withcrimes against Women.

Chief ministerHimanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing the first-ever conference with the officers in-charge (OCs) of all police stations on “redefining policing standards in Assam”, directed the OCs to file chargesheets in all rape, molestation, assault, murder, arms and drugs smuggling cases at the earliest for speedy trial.

He also directed the OCs to collect post mortem reports expeditiously while saying that range DIGs would ensure post mortem report collection as soon as possible. “Steps have to be taken to send samples for testing at forensic labs outside the state for minimising delay as the only forensic lab in Guwahati is not sufficient,” he said.
