The state IT department is participating in the Digital India Week, celebrating Digital Indias seven years, organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology from July 4 to 6.
Mall said the IT department has set up a stall showing the numerous e-Governance initiatives launched and completed by Bihar government, resulting in the states digital transformation.

Three districts fromMadhya Pradeshhave been selected at the national level for the best implementation of the Pradhan Mantri AdarshGram Yojanafor 2021-22. They includeGuna, which has been placed in the second spot, followed bySehore.

From Madhya Pradesh, 1,074 villages were selected under the scheme. Villages with a Population of 500 or more have been selected in the scheme, where the Scheduled Caste population of the total population is more than 50% In Adarsh gram, maximum benefits of various beneficiary-oriented schemes of the government will be provided to the villagers. Also, aadhaar card for all the people in various government schemes, destitute, old age and disabled pension scheme to all eligible persons, 100% admission of children in anganwadi and schools, providing Scholarship to all the students according to eligibility, toilets in every house etc. will be arranged.

Under the

, work will be done on a large scale for the Infrastructure development of the selected villages. This includes school building, anganwadi building, internal road construction, drain construction, drinking water system, streetlight and proper arrangement for disposal of solid and liquid wastes in the village.

The central government provides Rs 20 lakh for Infrastructure Development in each village, which would be carried out in coordination with various schemes of the state.

Gujarat proposes new 1,630 km coastal corridor

Aiming to give an impetus to tourism and economic activities in the state,Gujaratgovernment has proposed a new 1,630-kilometre coastal corridor from Umeragm in the south to Narayan Sarovar in Kutch. To be completed under PM GatiShakti scheme, the government proposes to set aside a buffer area along the highway for industrial and allied activities. The government has already earmarked the first 300 km covering Valsad, Navsari, Surat and Bharuch districts.

With the objective of giving an impetus to tourism and economic activities in the state, the Gujarat government has proposed a new 1,630km long coastal corridor from Umargam in south Gujarat to Narayan Sarovar in Kutch.

Under the PM Gati Shakti project, a detailed plan has been prepared for first 300km stretch. Sources said that the entire corridor is being planned keeping in mind the CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) restrictions, forest regulations and the like.

Odisha Tourism to launch 3 new festivals to bring back tourists

After a lull in tourism owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state tourism department has decided to launch three new festivals this year in its bid to bring back visitors to the state.
Plans

of organising an online Music Festival,HirakudFestival in Sambalpur and another such event in Koraput district are on the anvil.

The department will be holding its maiden Odissi music festival through virtual platform this year. From the next year onwards, it will be held at prominent locations in the state. Plans are also afoot for a festival in Mayurbhanj district next year.
The State Government had in 2018 planned to launch the Hirakud Festival near the Hirakud reservoir in Sambalpur. But it could not be executed then.

As many as 257 companies across the state participated in the survey, which was conducted to understand the Growth aspirations of the textile and apparel sector. About 76% of the firms were confident of doubling the current business in three to five years with the new cycle. This shows a positive change in the business environment of Tamil Nadus textile and apparel sector.

Roughly 40 or 16% of the companies surveyed, showed keen interest to explore the IPO option. While the market capitalization of Indian Equity markets crossed Rs 240 lakh crore, the combined market cap of listed companies in the textile and apparel sector is only 2.2 lakh crore. The Capital Market is growing at a rapid pace and the textile sector is also getting a lot of interest and attention from investors with valuations rallying upwards.
