Immigration Visa Foreigners Registration Tracking Scheme Approved

The Government of India has approved the Immigration Visa Foreigners Registration Tracking (IVFRT) scheme’s continuation for 5 years till 31 March 31, 2026, with Rs 1,364.88 crore financial outlay.

Highlights

This scheme looks to optimize and interlink functions associated with visa issuance, immigration, registration of foreigners, and tracking their movements within the country.

The scheme’s continuation demonstrates the government’s commitment to the IVFRT’s fundamental goal of upgrading and modernizing visa and immigration Services.

IVFRT features a global reach and aims to optimize and connect functions that are associated with visa issuance, immigration, foreigner registration, and movement tracking in India by involving 192 Indian missions around the world, 12 Foreigners Regional Registration Officers and offices, 108 Immigration Check Posts in India, and over 700 Foreigners Registration Officers, Deputy Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police across the country.

Bhasha Certificate Selfie Campaign Launched By Education Ministry

The Ministry of Education has launched the Bhasha Certificate Selfie campaign.

Highlights

Its aims to promote multilingualism and inspire cultural diversity so on foster the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat spirit.

This initiative aims to market the Bhasha Sangam mobile app, which has been developed by MyGov India and, therefore, the Ministry of Education.

People often learn 100+ daily use sentences in around 22 scheduled Indian languages using this app.

This initiative ensures that the country’s people acquire basic conversational skills in several Indian languages.

Seventy-five lakh people Learning basic conversational skills are set as a target

to realize the target of this initiative.

Minister of Education and Skill development Shri Dharmendra Pradhan had launched the Bhasha Sangam mobile app.

Foreign Direct Policy In J&K

Jammu & Kashmir’s lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha has approved a Foreign direct (FDI) policy for the union territory with a Foreign stake of a minimum of 51 percent.

L-G Manoj Sinha approved the Policy for Promotion of Foreign Investment within the Industrial Sector in J&K during the Administrative Council (AC) gathering.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Reserve Bank Of India‘s (RBI) guiding framework

on FDI has supported this new policy.

This policy is going to be effective for the subsequent ten years.

The FDI Policy in J&K aims for foreign investments worth quite Rs 100 crore with a minimum foreign stake of 51 percent.

FSSAI Health Star Rating Part Of Packaged Food

Consumers will soon be ready to tell whether their food packaging is harmful or healthy and nutritious.

Highlights

According to the (Fssai), packaged food goods will soon display a ‘Health star’ part of the new system.

This system will be almost like the one that’s getting used by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency to assess the energy efficiency in electrical devices.

The packaged foods will have several stars displayed on them to indicate whether the item is healthy or unhealthy.

The number of fats, sugar and salt within the food item determines the rating.

IIM Ahmedabad, regarding the methodology, conducted a study to display the health ratings of the food items.

The display of star ratings was recommended during this study because it would be easier for the customer to know.

It has been decided that the ratings will be placed ahead of the

packets as studies show that this method is far more straightforward towards affecting the buyer’s selection.

Rise In Sea Level Report By US

According to an NOAA-led report, The united states will probably experience the maximum amount of water level rise by the year 2050 because it witnessed in the last hundred years.

NOAA released the report in PARTNERSHIP with other federal agencies. The report is titled “Sea Level Rise Technical Report.”

The report provides up-to-date water level rise projections for

the US by decade for the next 100 years and beyond.

Housing sales in NCR and 6 other cities to breach 2014 peak: Report

Going by the demand momentum in the ongoing festive season and the first three quarters of 2022, housing sales across the top seven Indian cities this year is likely to breach the previous peak of 2014.

As per the latest research by Anarock, cumulative sales in the top seven cities — NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata — may exceed 3.6 lakh units in 2022. In 2014, 3.43 lakh units were sold in the top seven cities.

NCR and MMR have retained their top slot rankings in

the first nine months of 2022, with around 1,30,450 units collectively sold in these two regions, accounting for 48% of the total sales in the top seven cities.

Other high-selling cities were Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, which accounted for a 42% cumulative sales share.

MMR and Hyderabad recorded the maximum new launches during this period, with 1.43 lakh units and accounting for 54% of the total new supplies.

Indias score of 29.1 places it in the serious category.

India also ranks below Sri Lanka (at 64), Nepal ( at 81), Bangladesh ( at 84), and Pakistan (at 99).

Afghanistan, at 109, is the only country in South Asia that performs worse than India on the index.

China is among the countries collectively ranked between 1 and 17 having a score of less than five.

Indias rank in the Global Hunger Index has consistently worsened

in the last 10 years.

tracking hunger at global, regional, and national levels.

The GHI is intended to raise awareness and understanding of the struggle against hunger.

It provides a way to compare levels of hunger between countries and regions.

And even call attention to those areas of the world where hunger levels are highest and where the need for additional efforts to eliminate hunger is greatest.

The reason for mapping hunger is to ensure that the world achieves Zero Hunger by 2030, which is one of the Goals

laid out by the United Nations.

Each countrys GHI score is calculated based on four indicators.

Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati – Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana

Since 2020-21, the government is implementing Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati as a sub-program of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana to promote traditional indigenous customs and practices.

About Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati (BPKP):

The scheme focuses primarily on eliminating all synthetic chemical inputs and promoting on-farm recycling, with a particular emphasis on
Mulching with biomass
Utilization of cow dung-urine formulations
Plant-based preparations
Soil aeration is done on a regular basis.
Under BPKP, financial assistance of Rs 12,200 per hectare is provided for 3 years for cluster formation, capacity building, and continuous management of well-trained personnel, certification and residue analysis.

Clean Ganga Fund CGF

The Government of India established the Clean Ganges Fund (CGF) in accordance with the Indian Trust Act of 1882. As a trust, it allows Indian residents, non-resident Indians (NRI) and people of Indian descent (PIO), and enterprises (public and private sectors) to Contribute to the protection of the Ganges.

Donations to the Clean Ganga Fund fall within the scope of corporate social responsibility activities as defined in Schedule VII of the 2013 Companies Act.
