Himachal Pradesh to get 13 new ropeways worth Rs 5,644 crore

Himachal Pradeshis set to have 13 ropeway projects in different parts of the state that would not only revolutionise the transportation system of the hill state but would also boost tourism activities.

The proposed 13 ropeway projects have a total length of 111.65 km with an estimated cost of Rs 5,644 crore.

Union ministerNitin Gadkarihad recently tweeted about these new ropeway projects proposed for Himachal

Pradesh. He claimed that construction of these ropeway projects would not only make the travelling easier in the hilly terrains but would also ensure arrival of tourists in all seasons.

He said that proposed ropeways would also cut short the travel time and distance by making travelling easier and safer. He said that new ropeway projects will create EMPLOYMENT opportunities.

BlockChain Based Degrees Launched In IIT Kanpur

PM Modi announces the launch of digital degrees based on blockchain technology at IIT Kanpur.

Highlights:

At the 54th Convocation Ceremony of IIT Kanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched blockchain-based digital degrees as part of the National Blockchain Project.

The completed section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project and the Bina-Panki Multiproduct Pipeline Project were also inaugurated by the Prime Minister later.

These digital degrees are unforgeable and can be verified globally.

IIT Kanpur developed the blockchain technology that it uses to award digital degrees in-house.

It is being hailed as a game-changing technology in the field of Education. In the financial sector, the technology is already in use.

The institute developed the technology as part of the National Blockchain Project.

Now, apple cultivation begins in States Palamu district

Like Himachal apple, it will be easily available in Jorhat, adjacent to Daltoganj. Palamu Divisional Commissioner, Jata Shankar Chaudhary on Tuesday launched the cultivation of Hariman 99 varieties of apples

Food processing varsity in Bihar soon

UnionFood Processing minister Pashupati KumarParas inaugurated the office of Capacity Enhancement Centre (CEC) at Patna for training entrepreneurs fromBiharand northeastern states interested in food processing activities.

Paras also launched the Makhana King under one district one product (ODOP) programme, which is part of the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFMFPE). He said Mega Food Parks were functional in various parts of the country. Baghel said that this newly-introduced building permit system will expedite the development in cities of the state. This system would offer an effective solution to the existing problems in the permit issuance process. Building permit issuance is an important process for the citizens of the state who want to build their own house, but earlier this process was complicated, time-taking and not easily accesible, required map approval from several officials. But now this entire process will be free from human intervention and will be completed in shorter duration. Rajasthan govt to take Rs 200 crore loan from Centre to build houses for poor

After the successful allottees of chief ministerJan Awas Yojanaand affordable housing scheme failed to deposit instalments during the pandemic, the plans to complete the construction work after taking loan from theHousing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd(HUDCO).

The urban housing department had earlier proposed to construct nearly 23,000 houses for economic weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG) across the state under public-private and PARTNERSHIP (PPP) model. However, the construction work was stalled after only 10-15% allottees managed to deposit the instalments.

The government had relaxed the conversion of land policy for developers constructing houses for economic weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG) under the Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana. However, nothing can give the project a momentum during the pandemic.
