Telangana showcases world heritage site Ramappa at World Travel Market in London

For the first time,Telanganas world heritage site Ramappa temple, iconic Yadadri temple, Golconda Fort, ,Qutub Shahi tombs, Thousand pillars temple, Samakka Sarakka Jatara, Budhavaman, and urban eco-park,Kaleshwaram project, were showcased at theWorld Travel Market 2022being held in London from November 7 to 9.

The Health profile of every citizen ofTelanganawill be prepared soon and the initiative launched on a pilot basis in Sircilla andMuluguassembly constituencies has already concluded, CMK Chandrashekhar Raosaid.

He also noted that once the project was completed at the state level, access to health profile of any citizen will just be a click away.

According to him, the number of MBBS seats in the state has reached 6,800 from 2,800 in 2014.

There were only five government medical colleges in the state when the state was formed in 2014.

Mobile Based E-Voting System To Be Tested By Telangana

State Election Commission has decided to have a dry run of a “Mobile-Based e-voting system”.

The requirement to conduct Polls amidst of pandemic has to lead the government to initiate this process.

This will help the voters to vote from the comfort of their homes.

This Mobile Based E-Voting will be held in the Khammam district of Telangana on 20 October.

This will be the first time for India to have a Mobile based e-voting process.

The Voters have to register themselves between 8 October to 18 October.

The company implementing this is the technologies wing of the IT Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) department of the Telangana government and technical development by the ‘Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC)’.

Blockchain (Distributed Ledger) technology has been used to secure de-identified and encrypted votes to maintain them as immutable records.

Telanganareported a 26% increase in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection this July, raising Rs 3,610 crore compared to the same period last year, when it mustered Rs 2,876 crore.

But this years Growth rate is less than the countrys overall growth rate of 32% in July this year against the same period last year.

According to data on GST collection from the Union Government, neighbouring Andhra Pradesh reported a 28% increase, higher than in July this year.
Tamil Nadu had the highest growth rate among southern states in GST collection, with a 36% increase in July this year. While Keralas GST collection growth stood at 27% in July 2021, Karnataka had the lowest growth at 12% in the same period.
During the second Covid-19 pandemic, the Telangana governments goods and Services tax (GST) collection has improved with a 17 percent increase this March when compared to March 2020.

According to the Union governments GST collection figures, the State Government collected Rs 3,562 crore in March 2020 and it has gone up to Rs 4,166 crore in March this year.

Except a few months, GST collection in Telangana has been steadily increasing since July last year. The state had a negative growth rate in November 2020, with a 5 % decrease in GST collection compared to November 2019. GST collection figures for October 2020 and 2019 were Rs 3,175 crore and Rs 3,349 crore respectively.

Agri power demand surges 62% in Telangana

According to official records, there were 19 lakh agriculture connections at the time of formation of in 2014. In the past seven years, 5.86 lakh new connections 3.65 lakh in Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) and 2.49 lakh in Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSNPDCL) were added. The twin power distribution companies now have over 12 lakh agriculture connections each in their jurisdiction.

Telangana has received lowest supply of doses among southern states

While there is a shortage of supply ofCovid-19vaccines ahead of the launch of vaccination drive for 18-44-year-olds, data on supply ofvaccine dosesshow that has received the lowest number of doses among southern states. While the state has performed better than several states in terms ofvaccine wastage.

Maharashtra leads the charts for Vaccines supplied to states with 1.63 crorevaccinedoses received, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 1.37 crore doses. Apart from Maharashtra and UP, Rajasthan (1.36 crore); Gujarat (1.29 crore); and West Bengal (1.13 crore) are the only states to have received over one crore doses so far. Karnataka is close with 98.47 lakh doses received so far.Andhra Pradeshhas received over 65 lakh doses while Tamil Nadu too has received a similar amount.

Telangana is far behind compared to its southern counterparts. Delhi one of theepicentres for Covid-19 has only received 38 lakh doses so far, has a vaccine wastage of around 3.5 per cent. Except 10 states, of which one is Telangana, other states are not likely to receive supplies in coming days.
