Nutrition Related Programme by Rajasthan Government

Rajasthan authorities launched a series of Nutrition-focused welfare programmes for the advantage of Women and kids affected by disruption in regular schemes. Women and young people in Rajasthan are affected due to the disruption of schemes such as Integrated Child Development Services and the noon meal scheme amid the covid-19 pandemic.

The is going through the challenge of the micronutrient crisis. Following the disruption, professionals referred to undertaking strategies to accelerate micronutrient supplementation and support food fortification.

Thus, the Rajasthan government has launched Nutrition focused programmes as the impending third wave is in all likelihood to aggravate this situation.

Under the programme, Indira Rasoi Yojana will provide meals to the poor and needy twice a day. This scheme had prolonged alleviation to people amid the pandemic.

The government is also promoting a healthful lifestyle for pregnant females and is extending aid to such ladies in order to enable them to provide delivery to healthy children.

Village panchayats would play a giant position in strengthening nutrition schemes and offering nutrition training amongst students in schools.

The nutrition-focused programmes are extensive because nutritious, diverse & secure meals in early childhood and entry to primary Health, water & sanitation would help in enhancing dietary status among girls and children.

Indira Rasoi Yojana: Indira Rasoi Yojana was launched in August 2020 with the goal of supplying nutritious meals to terrible & needy two instances in a day at concessional rates. Under the scheme, one plate serves 100 grams of pulses & greens and 250 grams of chapati & pickles. This scheme aligns with the theme of World Food Day 2020 to grow, nourish and maintain together.

Tourism has attracted over 10K cr investment in 4 yrs

In the past four and half years, 802 tourism units have been approved in the state with an of Rs 10,463.47 crore, said director tourismRashmi Sharma.

She said these units will generate EMPLOYMENT opportunities for 40785 people in the state.Rajasthanhas become the first state in the country to give full Industry status to tourism and hospitality sector.

On the other hand, during the Rajasthan Investment Summit organized last year, 379 MoUs were signed in the tourism sector, out of which 55 MoUs have been completed and 149 are at various stages of implementation.

Through these agreements, an investment of Rs 14,679 crore will be made in the state and there are possibilities of providing employment to 60,687 people.

Under the industry status, tourism units get electricity at industrial rates which are about 30% less than the commercial rates. At the same time, UD tax on these units is also applicable at industrial rates, which is 80% less than the commercial rate.

So far, the rourism department has issued entitlement certificates to 859 units out of the 1,262 applications. Similarly, 41 applications have been received under the Rural Tourism Scheme 2022, out of which certificates have been issued to 35.

Centre asks Rajasthan govt to stop work of eastern canal project

The ERCP, touted as the lifeline of the 13 eastern districts in the state, has become a flashpoint between the state and the Centre over sharing of funds and inter-state issues with Madhya Pradesh.

Rajasthan: Cyber police stations to come up in Jodhpur & Bharatpur

In a bid to control cyber crime in the state, chief minister on Friday approved the proposal of the Home department to open two new cyber Police stations inJodhpurandBharatpurdistricts.

Now, only Jaipur district has a cyber police station.
Currently, there are cyber crime units atJodhpur Commissionerateand Bharatpur district.

According to the proposal, the allocation of departments to the Sports medal winners has been done under the Rajasthan out-of turn appointment to sports medal winner rules-2017, considering the priority of the districts and vacancies available in the departments.

No state-funded varsity in overall top 100 institutes

Rajasthancontinues to perform poorly in the Union Ministry of Educations country-wide overall ranking of top 100 institutes as none of the 28 state-funded universities in the state has made it to the list.

The ranking, known as National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), is exhaustively done in 13 different categories. The list announced on Monday has four institutes fromRajasthan Birla Institute of Technology and Science (25th rank), Malviya National institute of technology 47 (MNIT), Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur (66th) and Banasthali Vidyapith (97th). However, they are either run by the central government or private Education groups.

Significantly, none of the institutes in Rajasthan, either private or those funded by the government, feature in the top research institute category.
The ranking has been made considering several parameters such as research, innovation, teacher-student ratio, perception, graduation outcome, outreach, and inclusivity. It is the most awaited list as students consider taking admission to these institutes based on their ranks.

Rajasthan govt asks private hospitals to set up oxygen plants

Private hospitals with a bed capacity of 60 or more have been directed by the to set up their ownoxygenplants and install centralised Oxygen pipeline systems.

The direction has been issued following the severe shortage of oxygen for Covid-19 patients. The state is regularly reporting over 160 Covid deaths daily and there’s a huge rush of patients with low oxygen saturation seeking admissions in hospitals.

The state’s active cases are, meanwhile, above the two-lakh mark and it is among the five states in the country which have more than two lakh cases. The other four states are Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.

Raj, French agency come together for forest conservation

The forest department will take up Forestry and development work in coming eight years in 13 districts with the support of France Development Agency.

Head of Forest Force (HOFF) D N Pandey informed that project is christened asRajasthanForestry and Biodiversity Development Project.

Under the project, along with plantation in 55,000 hectares area, 55 lakh saplings will be distributed in the outer areas apart from the authorised areas of the forest department. Along with this, extensive development work will be done in Bharatpur’s Keoladeo National Park, Bisalpur, Tonk and Kota’s Conservation Reserve, Kota’s Bhainsrodgarh Sanctuary and Bundi’s Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary and Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve to create an Environment conducive to uninterrupted life of wild animals. The project covers about 610km in forest areas.

The support of French agency for forest conservation efforts reflects growing international consensus and cooperation towards reducing the impact of Climate-change”>Climate Change.

The project in Rajasthan, however, also has its roots in Empowerment and association of local communities with Sustainable Development and thus proposes ecotourism and other measures.

SMShospital to have air ambulance landing facility

The Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital of Jaipur will become the states first healthcare institute with a helipad to facilitate air ambulance Services.

Of the total expenditure, 125 crore will be borne by Jaipur Smart City Limited, 96 crore by the hospital, 50 crore by Jaipur Development Authority, 50 crore by the Rajasthan Housing Board and 29 crore by DMFT and other sources.

In 2021-22 state budget, chief minister AshoK Gehlot has made announcement for the IPD and cardiology unit at SMS Hospital.

NREGA: 6.2 lakh families in Rajasthan complete 100 days work

With just a month to go for the financial year (2021-22) to end, 6.24 lakh families inRajasthanhave so far completed 100 days of work under theMGNREGAscheme. In 2020-21, 12.31 lakh families had completed 100 days of work under the scheme, which was an all-time record for the state.

According to officials in the department, the demand for work under the scheme has gone down as only 17.77 lakh labourers were engaged on Sunday. They say the demand for work under the scheme has gone down as agricultural season has started in the state.
According to the MGNREGA portal, 14.67 lakh families have completed 81-99 days of work, 5.65 lakh families have completed 71-80 days of work under the scheme, 5.60 lakh have completed 61-70 days of work and 5.80 lakh families have completed 51-60 days of work so far. Also, 69.46 lakh families have been engaged in NREGA work in this financial year so far, as against 75.43 lakh families in 2020-21.

The states approved labour budget (37.35 crore) for MGNREGA for the ongoing financial year (2021-22) has already been utilised. The states rural development and department has urged the Centre to revise the labour budget to 43 crore for the current financial year.
For this financial year, the Centre had earlier revised the labour budget to 37.35 crore looking at the huge demand for MGNREGA work in the state in view of the Covid. The state has generated 39.31 crore persondays under the scheme so far. Last year (2020-21), the labour budget amounting to 46 crore was utilised in the state.

43% of Guj developers expect steady demand in 2023: Report

Developers inGujarathave seen inquiries increase in 2022 and believe the trend will continue in 2023 as well. According to a CREDAI report, 62% of developers in the state have seen an increase in demand and 43% believe housing demand will remain stable in 2023, while 29% said demand will grow by up to 25% in 2023.

According to the Developer Sentiment Survey conducted by CREDAI and Colliers and Liases Foras, in Gujarat, 10% of developers believe demand will increase by 25% to 50% while 19% believe there will be a slowdown in 2023.

The study said 2023 is likely to see a spurt in new launches, equivalent to current supply under construction as about 87% of developers are willing to launch new residential projects in 2023. This indicates increased optimism among developers despite inflationary pressures and a potential impending .

About 33% of developers of Gujarat said higher construction costs have pushed up project costs by 5% to 10% while 38% said project costs have increased by up to 20% and 29% said the increase was more than 20%.

The majority of states witnessed increases in project costs. More than 70% of developers in Delhi, UP,Telangana, Andhra Pradesh andTamil Naduwitnessed a more than 10% increase in project costs.

While the majority of the developers who witnessed an increase up to 10% were from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala and West Bengal, the report said.
