Cabinet approves withdrawal of ordinance on panchayat polls

In the Light of The Supreme Court order staying the poll process on seats reserved for OBCs in the Madhya Pradesh panchayat , the State cabinet here on Sunday decided to withdraw the ordinance brought to annul the process of delimitation and reservation rotation set by the previous government in 2019.

The cabinet’s decision to withdraw the ordinance is likely to pave the way for cancellation of the panchayat poll process in the state. The present BJP government in MP had brought the ordinance last month to annul the process of delimitation and reservation rotation set by the previous Congress-led government in 2019.

On the basis of this ordinance, the panchayat election process was started as per the delimitation and reservation rotation of 2014.

Notably, the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution, which stated that no panchayat polls will be held in the state without reservation for the OBCs. CM Chouhan, who is also the Leader of the House, proposed the resolution saying the State Government wants every section of the Society to get Justice.

CM pays special attention to the development of agriculture sector

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that several important steps have been taken in Madhya Pradesh for the economic prosperity of the farmers. While staying on top in wheat production in the country, Madhya Pradesh did the work of giving full benefits of all types of production to the farmers.

The agricultural Growth rate of the state is the highest in the country. Despite this, keeping in mind the efforts being made for the welfare of farmers in other states, continuous efforts are being made to implement them in Madhya Pradesh as well. In this connection, on the initiative of the Union Minister Gadkari, work will also be done to adopt the multi-faceted Agro Vision agricultural exhibition and other innovations which have become popular in Vidarbha. Necessary initiative will be taken to organise the programme of Agro Vision in Madhya Pradesh in the interest of the farmers.

The Chief Minister said that arrangements have been made to provide adequate relief amount to the farmers in Madhya Pradesh on damage to their crops due to natural calamities and other reasons. Continuous review was done to provide the amount of crop Insurance to the farmers. As a result the farmers got relief.

Tourism police soon to be constituted in MP

After the union tourism ministrys directive of setting up of Tourist Police in all state and union territories in places with high tourist footfalls, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that the government is going to constitute ‘Tourism Police’. It will be deployed at tourist places. They will take special care of the safety and convenience of the tourists.

He said that preference will be given in recruitment to such people, who have knowledge of many languages and dialects. Home Minister Narottam Mishra said this after he attended a contemplation camp on Internal Security on Thursday and Friday in New Delhi. It was addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr. Mishra said that in the direction of realizing the vision of PM Modi, now the Madhya Pradesh government will form a tourism police.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is very important to promote local products for the development and economic strengthening of the country and the State. Madhya Pradesh is continuously ensuring its participation in fulfilling the resolve of ‘Vocal for Local’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chouhan has appealed to the people of the State to give priority to their local shopkeepers and locally made products to buy essential items on the occasion of festivals. With this, not only will you contribute to the development of the country and the state, but EMPLOYMENT opportunities will also be available to the local people. He said that our priority should be local material. If we buy local, we will help our poor artisans, weavers and those who make other local materials celebrate festivals.

Chouhan said that we have also formed self-help groups by identifying those skilled Women in the state, who prepare many types of useful materials at the local level. All such women have been encouraged by providing them financial assistance through banks.

3 MP dists excel in PM Adarsh Gram Yojana

Three districts fromMadhya Pradeshhave been selected at the national level for the best implementation of the Pradhan Mantri AdarshGram Yojanafor 2021-22. They includeGuna, which has been placed in the second spot, followed bySehore.

From Madhya Pradesh, 1,074 villages were selected under the scheme. Villages with a Population of 500 or more have been selected in the scheme, where the Scheduled Caste population of the total population is more than 50% In Adarsh gram, maximum benefits of various beneficiary-oriented schemes of the government will be provided to the villagers. Also, aadhaar card for all the people in various government schemes, destitute, old age and disabled pension scheme to all eligible persons, 100% admission of children in anganwadi and schools, providing Scholarship to all the students according to eligibility, toilets in every house etc. will be arranged.

Under the , work will be done on a large scale for the Infrastructure development of the selected villages. This includes school building, anganwadi building, internal road construction, drain construction, drinking water system, streetlight and proper arrangement for disposal of solid and liquid wastes in the village.

The central government provides Rs 20 lakh for Infrastructure Development in each village, which would be carried out in coordination with various schemes of the state.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will dedicate construction works worth 264 crores and perform online bhumi-pujan on the occasion of completion of 20 years of Jan Kalyan and Suraj Yojana to improve school education in the State.

Chouhan will dedicate and perform bhumi-pujan of 45 newly constructed buildings of School Education Department and 71 newly constructed buildings of Tribal Affairs Department at Minto Hall, Bhopal on Tuesday at 6.30 PM. Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Welfare Minister Meena Singh, Public Works and Cottage and Village Industries Minister Gopal Bhargava and Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) and General Administration Inder Singh Parmar will also be present on the occasion.

Power-surplus Madhya Pradesh buys electricity to avoid cuts

Despite being a power-surplus state, there were unscheduled power cuts in Madhya Pradesh in the past few days.

Now, there are no power cuts as additional power is being purchased, said sources. There was no unscheduled power cut on August 30 in official records, but the reports mention additional power purchase of around 1,163 MW that day.

Despite the unexpected increase, peak demand reached only 11,000MW, which is half the amount for which MP has PPAs.

Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) commissioned teams arrived from Delhi to conduct ODTwater plussurvey. The survey is part of the Swachh Survekshan 2021 andBhopalis vying to improve its position on the heels of recent, ease of living survey.

According to sources, the survey can last up to five days. Six teams are conducting the inspection which uses GPS based tagging application for transparency.

GPS tagged photographs are uploaded on theSwachh Portalon the go. Water plus is an addition to the ODF inspection as part of the part of Swachh Survekshan.
More than 20 percent of the rating score is linked to Open Defecation Free (ODF) and Water Plus.
According to information, the teams visited BMC zones 1, 2, 4, 5, 13, 16 and 17. The team took stock of the public and community toilets. Toilets and sewage system were also noted. In most places, the team found deficiency in connecting drains.

Recently, newSTPhas been operation along the Upper Lake. The team inspected other sewage treatment Plants at Char Imli, Bawdiyakalan, Jail Road among others. Total capacity of the plants and the treatment of sewage was inspected.

Logistic movement up 20% in Indore

The increase in loads from industries and Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture goods has lifted logistic movement from Indore by over 20 per cent and may further go up, claimed players eyeing a jump in commodities and industrial goods.

Indore is a major trading and business center with an estimated movement of around 4,000 commercial vehicles every day, according to truckers.

Industry players said the drop in ocean freight and packaging materials have pushed the logistic movement from Indore.

Continuous efforts should be made to widen the tax base: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated the officers of the departments related to revenue earning for achieving more revenue than the target. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is only as a result of improvement in the system, use of technology and continuous motivation of people to deposit the amount of revenue and taxes, that more than the target have become possible in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan approved the proposal for re-implementation of Samadhan Yojana for recovery of old dues of mineral revenue. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process of charging water rate for Irrigation should be implemented effectively.

The details of receipts from VAT, GST, Excise, Mineral, Transport, Energy, Forest, Revenue, Public Asset Management and Irrigation were presented in the meeting. It was informed that 7 percent more achievements have been made against the target set for the months of April and May. Enforcement proceedings have benefited from greater use of data analysis. In the cases of scrutiny also, notices were issued to more people, as a result of which the deposit amount has increased. In cases of GST also, action was taken by identifying the deficiencies on the basis of data analytics and returns.
