18 lakh rural population get piped water, says Madhya Pradesh govt

Piped water is being provided to remote areas and tribal dominated areas underJal Jeevan MissioninMadhya Pradesh. Officials said providing water through tap connections in schools and anganwadis, including rural families in tribal areas is done at rapid pace.

Drinking water has been provided through tap connections to more than 18 lakh rural Population in 20 tribaldominated districts in the state. Since the inception of the mission, about one lakh population has been provided with this facility every month, which is more than 42% of rural households in tribal dominated districts.

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it was with the intention of Har Ghar Nal and Har Nal se Jal that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while announcing Jal Jeevan Mission from Red Fort on August 15, 2019, had said that in the next five years, we will have to do four times more work than the work done in the last 70 years.

In Jal Jeevan Mission, the states have to fulfill their targets by the year 2024. Prime Minister Modi had said that when the country works sincerely to fulfill its resolves, then reforms and changes take place.

Jal Jeevan Mission is providing drinking water to the tribal families living in rural and remote areas of the state through tap connection at a fast pace.

MP govt takes loan of Rs 2,000 crore

Madhya Pradesh government is continuously borrowing funds. So far, the government, which is burdened with a debt of more than Rs 3 lakh crore, has once again taken a loan. This time the government has borrowed Rs 2,000 crore. Notably, this is the third time in the last 13 days that the government has taken a loan.

Actually this loan has been taken at the rate of 7.88 percent interest. The government will repay this loan by the year 2023. The Shivraj government had earlier taken the loan on October 14 and October 20. Both the times the government had taken a loan of Rs 1,000 crore. But this time Rs 2,000 crore has been taken. In this way, the government has taken a loan of 4000 crores within the last 2 weeks.

According to the information, the Madhya Pradesh government is going through a period of severe economic crisis. The has got a debt of more than Rs 3 lakh 29 thousand crore whereas the total annual budget of the state government is also not so much. This means that now the government has taken more loans than the total budget of the state. Due to huge debt, the Shivraj government of the state has to pay a huge amount every year as interest.

According to the information, under the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, the state government can take loans up to 4 percent of the state’s GDP. The government has the eligibility to take a loan of more than 40 thousand crore rupees, but so far the government has taken a loan of only eight thousand crores.

37% rise in suicides by self-employed in Madhya Pradesh

Number of suicides committed by self-employed persons saw an increase of more than 37% in 2020 when there was a lockdown induced by Covid-19, says data released by National Crime Records Bureau.

Among other persons, the number of suicides committed by daily wagers also increased by 24.7% during the year. Likewise, the number of suicides committed by salaried persons from government and private sector also saw an increase from the previous year.

As per the accidental deaths and suicides data released by the NCRB for 2020 a total of 1,254 self-employed persons committed suicide in the year. The number was only 911 last year. It saw an increase of more than 37% in the Covid-19 year.

Country’s first education center will be set up in Madhya Pradesh for improving the skills of nursing staff for government hospitals and private medical institutions. Preparations have been started for this, this center is to be constructed in Bhopal at a cost of 25 crores.

After the complaints of patients about the lack of high skills in government hospitals and medical institutions among Nursing staff and to alienate the suffering of patients, now preparations are being made by the for improving the quality of the nursing staff of the hospitals. In this , a Center of Excellence of Nursing and Midwifery Education will be established to make the nursing staff skilled in the work of nursing from primary level Health facility to super specialty hospital.

This first center of the country will be located in Bhopal. If the officials of the Medical Education Department are to be believed, then there is no such dedicated institution in the country, in which skill training is given to the nursing staff after completing their studies.

This center will be constructed in Bhopal at a cost of about Rs 25 crore. For a long time, efforts were being made for this center by the Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang.

Ditching the Covid-19 pandemic blues, investors have proposed to invest close to Rs6,000 crore inMadhya Pradeshin the first five months of the ongoing fiscal 2021/22, pushing demand for developed as well asundevelopedland parcels.

As many as 495 industries, including large and Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) have proposed to invest Rs5,707 crore in the state so far in 2021-22 fiscal.

The department has allotted 832 hectare to industries so far this year. These industries have proposed to give EMPLOYMENT to 25,186 people in FY 2021-22. Several large and medium textile units have taken up land in the Indore region for setting up integrated facilities.
In Indore region, around 50 textile and garment industries have booked land by paying 25% of the total premium amount to set up factories by pumping Investment of Rs1,560 crore, according to the regional office of MPIDC.

State transformed parameters for farmers welfare: CM

Chouhan transferred crop compensation amount of Rs 41 crore 85 lakh to 4261 farmers from the CM’s residence office with a single click. The area of affected crops was 3690 hectares. Out of this, the area of affected banana crop is 3470 hectares and that of other crops is 219 hectares. There are 3960 banana crop producer farmers and other crop producer farmers are 301.

It is notable that the banana of Burhanpur is exported to numerous countries of the world. The has given financial relief to the banana producing farmers, relieving them from the crisis of crop getting damaged. Banana production has also been selected in Burhanpur district under “One District – One Product”. Along with the states of the country, the banana of Burhanpur is also exported to other countries.

Chief Minister said that the compensation rate for banana crop has been doubled. According to this important amendment, now the relief amount will be increased from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 30 thousand per hectare if the farmer suffers 25 to 33 percent damage to his banana crops. Similarly, in case of 33 to 50 percent damage, the relief amount will be increased from Rs 27 thousand to Rs. 54 thousand per hectare. If the damage is more than 50 percent, then the relief amount will be Rs. 2 lakh per hectare instead of one lakh.

Maternal mortality rate dips 5.8% in MP, pace of decline slower in infant mortality rate

The task force constituted to suggest measures to reduce maternal and child mortality rate in the state handed over its final report to chief minister.

The report includes suggestions for elimination of Malnutrition in children, elimination of physical and resource constraints for better results in the field of mother-child welfare, dietary supplements for infants, routine immunisation, prevention of diseases, expansion of Blood Bank facilities, referral arrangements for newborns and transportation facilities.

The maternal mortality rate in Madhya Pradesh is declining at the rate of 5.8 percent. The national Average is 7.5. Similarly, the mortality rate of newborn babies in Madhya Pradesh is decreasing at the rate of 0.6%. The national average rate is 3.8 percent. According to these indices, Madhya Pradesh will be able to achieve theSustainable Development Goalsexpected in 2030 in the coming 33 years, so the pace of this work will be increased further. The task force has identified 5 key areas to achieve the targets in the area of maternal and child Health.
