Strategic plan in response to increased Maoist activities in W Singhbhum

In response to the recent surge in Maoist activities in West Singhbhum, the Police have devised a comprehensive strategic plan to tackle the escalating situation. The rise in Maoist incidents, including attacks and ambushes, has necessitated a proactive approach from law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the region’s residents.

The strategic plan, formulated by senior police officials and security experts, aims to address the Maoist threat on multiple fronts. The key Elements of the plan include Intelligence Gathering and Analysis. The police will enhance their intelligence gathering capabilities, focusing on collecting timely and accurate information about Maoist movements, their Leadership, hideouts, and supply chains. Specialized teams will be deployed to gather intelligence and analyze the data to identify patterns and key areas of concern.

The strategic plan also includes provisions for the development of in Maoist-affected areas. This includes improving road connectivity, enhancing Communication networks, and providing basic amenities to the local Population. These measures aim to address the root causes of Maoist activities and create an Environment conducive to development and progress.

Jamshedpur has nearly 10,000 child workers, finds survey

A large number of unskilled workforce from neighbouring Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal migrate to Jamshedpur in search of livelihood. Along with this workforce, a large number of minors come to Steel City to do odd jobs to earn bread and butter for themselves and their families. A survey conducted by an NGO, Bal Mukti Seva Sansthan (BMSS), found that there were around 9,367 child labourers in the city.

Sources said most of these workers are given Rs 30 per day, which is way below the minimum daily wages inJharkhand. Children are also hired as motor mechanics in garages. Here they work in the heat and the dust to earn their daily bread.

The survey revealed that of the 9,367 child workers, 995 were found in the Sitaramdera area of the city. In rural areas, 840 were spotted in Baharagora, which lies close to the Bengal-Odisha border.

To make the efforts of Samarth more fruitful and taking step ahead by joining hand Wellmark Hospital Bokaro which is fully NABH accredited hospitals in District is now considered the hub of healthcare is going to sign MoU with Samarth on Sunday at Wellmark Hospital Bokaro in order to boost the health care system of elderly people .

With the objective of providing employment opportunities to the unemployed youths of the state at the local level, the Employment of Local Candidates Act 2021 in the Private Sector of Jharkhand State has been passed by the Government of Jharkhand, and according to the notification of the rules related to the implementation of the Act. After this, this Act is effective from 12 September 2022 in the entire state of Jharkhand. This Act applies to all such establishments which are in the private sector and where 10 or more than 10 people are working. All such establishments have to register themselves on this portal. From the date of effect of the Act, if any vacancy is removed by all the establishments to which this Act applies, 75 per cent local (Jharkhand) will have to be appointed in the appointment of posts up to Rs 40,000 salary. The youth of Jharkhand who want to take advantage of this act will have to register on the employment portal.

The extension of the Act/Rules will be applicable to any person employing 10 or more than 10 persons or such institution as may be notified by the Government from time to time in the entire state of Jharkhand. This will not include Central Government or Undertakings, but the provisions of this Act will be applicable to the organization providing outsourced service to Central Government or State Government establishments/undertakings.

Every employer will register himself on the Jharniyojan portal and within 30 days will enter the details of employees getting salaries up to Rs 40,000 in the portal.

Under the aforesaid Act / Rule, the new employer starting each new project 30 days before the commencement of the project, the authorized officer (District Planning Officer / Planning Officer of the concerned district declared for the purpose of implementation of this Act / Rule) The requirement of the required number of employees will have to be submitted, clearly indicating the number of employees coming under it along with the required skills.

Efforts on to provide direct benefits to farmers through schemes

All the Farmer Producer Organizations working in the state of Jharkhand and Women self-help groups formed by JSLPS are requested to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 08, 2022 organised by the Department of Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation (Agriculture Division), Government of Jharkhand in each district headquarters of the state. District level workshops are being organized for progressive women farmers of FPOs and women self-help groups. Information about various schemes run by the department can be obtained in the above mentioned workshops.

Based on the information received from different districts, a total of 4540 active women members will participate. It is the effort of the department that the farmers of women self-help groups formed by FPOs and JSLPS should receive direct benefits of departmental schemes and the effect of middlemen gets eliminated.

The department will list all the eligible women self-help groups formed by FPOs and JSLPS at the district level, which can be provided benefits of departmental schemes in the form of package schemes in the coming financial year. The meaning of the package scheme is that women farmers, whose grants for vegetable seeds, flower cultivation, mulching or poly houses will be provided from the Directorate of , will compulsorily be given the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, run by the Directorate of Agriculture, in which the amount of the grant is 90 and 80 per cent. Similarly, women farmers who will be provided with agricultural machinery, will also be provided seeds for vegetable cultivation. Such departmental efforts will increase the income of such FPOs and women groups will be financially empowered. Simultaneously, an increase in productivity will also be achieved.

The Jharkhand Government will soon start issuing unique numbers for land holdings as part of an exercise to bring transparency and end dubious land ownerships.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren made this revelation on Thursday during the ongoing budget session saying that the is working on a system under which plot of land will have a unique identification number. The CM said the problem, which is arising out over land receipt will be sorted out soon. The CM reiterated that by next Assembly session it will be sorted out.

Soren, while making a reply to the query made by BJP Khunti legislator Neel Kanth Singh Munda, said that unique identification number of land holdings will curtail illegal sale and purchase of land. Earlier, Munda raised the issue through Calling Attention Motion.

The CM said that illegal sale and purchase of around 300-400 acres of land by the land mafia will be checked.

Nations first digital portal dedicated for sports and sportspersons launched in Jharkhand

Under the direction of the Chief Minister Heman Soren, Johar Khiladi Sports Integrated Portal has been launched for the overall development of sports and sportspersons of the State. With the aim to position Jharkhand as a nursery for sports and to imbibe a sports culture in the state, this portal is one of a kind initiative across the country that shall be monumental to hone the talents of sportspersons of the state.

The portal launched by the Chief Minister is one of the first such portals to strengthen the idea of digitisation of sports. Information about players, coaches, referees, all sports academies, sports grounds, sports stadiums is available on a single portal. Information about state and district level competitions to be held in the state in future will also be made available on the portal in times to come.

In this portal, a detailed Database of each player will be created, information about their participation in various sports competitions will be maintained and will be made accessible in just one click. A total of 32 sports have been added to the portal, so that the players of all 32 sports recognized by the Indian Olympic Association can get benefits. For each sport, information about registered academies, registered players, past and upcoming competitions will be available at one place.

The sportspersons of the state can put forward any issues faced by them before the District Sports Officers as well as the Department of Sports directly through the portal. The officers will provide solutions to the problems faced by the sportspersons.

The Poto Ho Sports Scheme has been launched with the aim of promoting sports and sportspersons. Under the ambit of this scheme playgrounds are being constructed at the village level. The government is gearing up to build a Network from the Panchayat to the Capital, so that different types of sports programs are organized and players can put their talents to best use.

Jharkhand Govt to present budget on March 3

The Jharkhand Government budget will be tabled in the House on March 3, while the budget session will commence on February 25. The month-long budget session will run till March 25, with 17 working days. The State Cabinet Secretariat has issued a notification in this connection.

As per the notification issued by the Cabinet secretariat, the budget session will commence after Governor Ramesh Bais speech, followed by oath taking of new members and condolences. During the long budget session several bills will be tabled in the House.

The eighth budget of the fifth Jharkhand Assembly will have four Chief Minister , during which members can directly pose questions before the Chief Minister. The Assembly secretariat has slatted February 28, March 7, 14, and 21 for Chief Minister Question hour.

Last year Finance Minister RameshwarOraon tabled a budget worth Rs 91,270 crore in Jharkhand VidhanSabha for 2021-22 fiscal year amid the din by BJP MLAs. Sources said that this year it is expected that the budget size will be bigger as compared to previous financial year.

Skill project aims to curb migration: Minister

The Union governments Skilling India initiative is focussing on the post-Covid pandemic era on preventing the Migration of the rural youth to the cities by providing Skill development training in villages and localities on Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and non-agricultural sectors.

Over three crore youths have been imparted skill development training in India since 2015-16. But the Covid-19 pandemic adversely impacted their EMPLOYMENT opportunities. So now, the Skilling India programme has added a new objective to its existing ones and that is providing training in agricultural and non-agricultural sectors so that rural youths earn their livelihoods in their villages and do not migrate to cities.
