Haryana to incentivize unanimously elected Panchayats, Sarpanches, Panches, ZP members

Haryana Government announced to incentivize unanimously elected Panchayats, Sarpanches, Panches, Zila Parishad members and Panchayat Samiti members contesting for Institutions (PRIs) scheduled for October 30 and November 2. Spokesperson said that the Chief Minister has accorded approval to a proposal regarding the same. As per the approval, incentive Money of Rs 50,000 and Rs five lakh respectively would be given to every unanimously elected Panch, Sarpanch. An amount of Rs 11 lakh would be given in case where the entire Panchayat is elected unanimously.

Besides, incentive money of Rs five lakh and Rs two lakh respectively would be given to every unanimously elected Member Zila Parishad and Member Panchayat Samiti.

Government plans policy for uniform industrialisation in Haryana

The Haryana Government is making strenuous efforts to formulate a policy for uniform industrialisation across the state. The government is taking steps towards exporting 140 products in 140 blocks of the state. For this, the government has taken an initiative in the name of Padma initiative, under which one block-one product is being encouraged.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala held a meeting with senior officers of industries and commerce, revenue and Disaster Management, MSME, development and panchayat department and other departments regarding the Padma initiative. The Deputy CM directed the officers to study the policies of other states to promote rural before finalising the Padma initiative programme.

Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency gets energy efficiency award

The Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM), India, awarded the Haryana Development Agency (HAREDA) the SEEM Best Performance Award 2020 for putting their best efforts towards improving Energy Efficiency. Along with HAREDA, the Chhattisgarh agency and Kerala centre were also awarded. Dr Hanif Qureshi, HAREDA director-general, said the government was also committed for the promotion of renewable energy

State govt to set up standardisation cells

Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said the will establish standardisation cells in government departments that are associated with improving and monitoring the quality of goods that are used and procured. These cells will coordinate with the state government, industries and the Bureau of India Standards (Bis).

Kaushal presided over the state-level committee meeting on Monitoring Standardisation and Quality System here today. He directed the departments to actively participate in the training programmes organised by the BIS at the level of nodal officers. He also emphasised the procurement of the BIS-certified products and Services by the government departments. It was proposed that activities aimed at creating a robust quality ecosystem in the state would be part of this objective.

Rural power consumers to pay 2% panchayat tax

Power consumers in the rural areas of the state will finally shell out more, with the BJP-JJP government finally imposing 2% panchayat tax on the power bills of the consumers falling within the limits of the gram panchayats.

Over one and a half years after the Haryana Cabinet okayed the proposal, the Power Department has decided to implement the decision aimed at netting an amount of Rs 100-125 crore annually for rural development.

The blueprint for the implementation of the decision was chalked out at a recent meeting of the board of directors of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN).

Sources said it was decided at the meeting that the amount of the panchayat tax shall first be adjusted against the electricity bills of the respective gram panchayats. The balance amount would be refunded to the panchayats through the Power Department for development works in the rural areas.

Haryana to shift govt warehouses outside cities: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said a policy is being formulated to shift government warehouses outside the cities.

He also announced the extension of the Vivadon ka Samadhan Yojana for one year to settle the ongoing disputes related to shops in mandis. He said that the has already announced to give 1.25 percent handling charges to the arhtiyas on the purchase of crops done by NAFED. If still there is any difficulty, this decision will be implemented after taking up the matter with NAFED. The handling charges will definitely be given to the arhtiyas, he added.

Under this, a committee will be formed with arhtiyas as part of it. Some amount will be made available to the committee from the market fees so that the committee can get the works of the market done at its own level, he added.

In a bid to overcome acute shortage of skilled paramedical professionals in the state, Haryana Government has chalked out a policy to introduce paramedical degree courses in government and private medical colleges.

The policy has been developed keeping in view the ever emerging need of paramedical care in the medical field especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the fierce second wave of COVID-19, Haryana also witnessed shortage of paramedical professionals, who assist the doctors in treatment and care of patients.

The policy has been prepared to start paramedical courses including B.Sc Radiotherapy Technology, B.Sc Radiography & Imaging Technology, B.Sc Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc Perfusion Technology, B.Sc Operation Theatre and B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology in medical colleges of the state.

Haryana govt approves purchase of 200 acre land for AIIMS in Rewari

The Haryana government has approved the purchase of 200 acre of land for the Aiims to be constructed in Rewari, as well as the purchase of land for seven other projects.

The approval was given in the meeting of the High Power Land Purchase Committee to buy the land available on e-Bhoomi portal for nine projects.

This approval was given after the landowners agreed on the price.

The approval for the purchase of land for these seven projects cleared the way for the bypass in Hathin.

This will help Hathin to get rid of traffic congestion. Not only this, it will also speed up the development of Hathin.

Apart from this, the landowners also agreed on the price for the construction of a Water Treatment Plant at Rajound in Kaithal district, after which the land was approved to be purchased for the plant.

The purchase of land required to construct a four-lane road from Kalanaur to Kail in Yamunanagar district was approved.

Land was also approved for the bridge to be constructed between Bibipur to Chanalheri, Pihowa in Kurukshetra district and between Rania and Kuttabharh in Sirsa district.

Approval has been granted to purchase land for 580 meter approach road forUnani Medical Collegein Akera village of Nuh district.

Haryana CM launches Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana

Launching Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana in Chandigarh, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday announced that the traders having annual turnover of below Rs 20 lakhs will now get the CA certificate free of cost from the Chartered Accountants empaneled with the . This will come into force from April 1, 2023, he said.

Khattar, addressing the gathering after the launch, said that small traders require a CA certificate for doing their GST registration, and to get the same, they have to pay some amount. Now, small traders with a turnover of less than Rs 20 lakhs will get the CA certificate from the Government empaneled CAs, and its expense will be paid by the State Government, said Khattar.

In 2019, the State Government had launched Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana to give Insurance benefits to traders having an annual turnover is up to Rs 1.50 crore, he said.

The Chief Minister said that now under this scheme, insurance coverage ranging from Rs five to Rs 20 lakhs is provided to the taxpayer traders against loss of stock and furniture and fixtures by fire, burglary, and natural calamities. The scheme benefit will be given to those eligible taxpayers of the State registered as on March 31 or the date of registration or at later date under Goods and Services Tax (GST) either in the State or Central Jurisdiction.

Further such beneficiaries should also be registered on the online portal of this scheme. The registration fee as prescribed will be collected by Haryana Traders Welfare Board (HTWB) and then the same would be transferred to Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas (HPSN), shared Khattar.

2.27 lakh lost old age pension in past 3 yrs

TheHaryanagovernment has stopped the old age pension of around 2.77 lakh beneficiaries over the past three years from January 1, 2019, to February 28, 2022. While the old age pension of 94,857 beneficiaries was stopped in 2019, 68,746 lost their pension in 2020 and 99,452 in 2021.

In the first two months of this year (till February 28), the state had stopped the pension of 24,621 beneficiaries, raising the total tally of those whose pension has been discontinued during this period to 27,7676.

As far as district wise data is concerned, 19,211 people lost their pension in the past three years and two months inHisar, followed by 18,251 in Karnal, and 16,797 in Jind. In Panchkula, 4,204 people lost their old age pension.
