ISRO to launch NVS-01 navigation satellite on May 29

The Indian Space Research Organisation will launch the NVS-01 satellite onboard it’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR) in Sriharikota in Tirupati district at 10.42 am on May 29.

NVS-01 is the first of the second-generation satellites envisaged for the NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation) Services. NVS series of satellites will sustain and augment the NavIC with enhanced features. This series incorporates L1 band signals additionally to widen the services.

According to ISRO, NavIC offers two services — Standard Position Service for civilian users and Restricted Service for strategic users. The system is used in terrestrial, aerial, marine transportation, location-based services, personal mobility, resource monitoring, surveying and geodesy, scientific research etc.

The state government has set up 1,180 mobile clinics and ambulances through the 104 and 108 Services departments with Rs 210 crore to provide emergency medical care. As part of the 104 services, medical personnel go to villages and provide 20 types of medical services, including diagnostics and supply of medicines.

Andhra Pradesh begins budget preparation from village panchayat level

As the process of formation of all local bodies is over, the has begun the budget planning from the village panchayat level. The exercise, which has started six months ahead of the state budget, will have three stages before it is considered for inclusion in the state budget 2022-2023.

According to sources, the state government has sent Communication to the gram panchayats asking them to prepare their budget plan. The panchayats, which were formed after the Elections early this year, would consider the requirements in the villages including roads and drinking water while preparing plans.

The budgets prepared at the village panchayat, would be sent to the mandal parishad, where the budgets of all villages will be considered. The mandal parishad would then prepare its own budget, consolidating the budgets received, from the village panchayats.

State-run NTPC Ltd has awarded Indias first green hydrogen microgrid project in Andhra Pradesh.

The project has been awarded at the Simhadri plant of NTPC Ltd. in Andhra Pradesh.

NTPC will involve in Standalone Fuel-cell based Microgrid along with hydrogen production using electrolyzer project at NTPC Simhadri.
