Green Hydrogen Microgrid Projects In Andhra

Andhra Pradesh has been granted India’s first green hydrogen microgrid project by state-owned NTPC Ltd.

Highlights

The project was awarded at NTPC Ltd.’s Simhadri plant in Andhra Pradesh.

At NTPC Simhadri, NTPC will work on a project called “Standalone Fuel-cell based Microgrid with hydrogen production using electrolyzer.”

In addition, as part of its Energy Security strategy, India plans to invite bids for the construction of 4 gigawatts (GW) of electrolyzer capacity.

energy storage systems. Multiple microgrids will also be studied and deployed in numerous off-grid and key places in India.

AP to launch coffee with ward education assistant initiative

It is important that the education assistants of the village and ward secretariat should be totally integrated with the education department. The ward secretariat institution was created in 2019 where 10,000 young and dynamic persons were posted as education assistants.

Forest depts cottage project to offer a different feel to tourists

The forest department is planning to develop eco-tourism projects at various places in north Andhra region, including Araku, Anantagiri, and Sarugudu, besides other places, to attract tourists. It is also mulling cottages in forests.

The department plans to provide a different feel to the tourists with forest accommodation. We are planning to provide a night stay in the forests so that the tourists will get the unique experience of making their night halt in the deep forest. The project would be taken up with around 5 crore and it would come up in the next two years. The department has already held discussions with the AP Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) for land in coffee plantations in Anantagiri, which is a picturesque place. The APFDC has reportedly agreed to give the required land to the forest department.

Andhra Pradesh police focus on increasing conviction rate: DGP

instil fear among the accused and to deter the crimes.

The DGP directed the officials to conduct Spandana programmes and take petitions regularly from people and he also stressed the need to redress peoples grievances quickly by holding meetings with the aggrieved parties.

Andhra Pradesh government pays Rs 22 crore to farmers for crop loss

Chief ministerY SJagan Mohan Reddy paid a compensation of Rs 22 crore to 34,586 farmers who sufferedcrop lossdue toCyclone Gulabin September this year. The chief minister sent the amount to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries from hisTadepallicamp office.
Chief minister said the government was giving highest priority to farmers welfare. Besides extending a helping hand to the farmers through the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) across the state, he said the government was also coming to their rescue at the time of distress, including disasters. He said the government had paid a compensation of Rs 645.99 crore to 8.34 lakh farmers who lost their crops due toCyclone Nivarin November 2020. The compensation was paid in December 2020, he added. With the latest Rs 22 crore, the government has in total paid Rs 1,071 crore to the farmers during the last two years towards compensation,

Listing out the welfare initiatives of the government during the last two years, the chief minister said Rs 18,777 crore was credited under YSR Rythu Bharosa, Rs 1,674 crore under Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu, Rs 3,788 crore was credited through YSR Bima,

Rs 18,000 crore under nine-hour free power supply and Rs 1,520 crore towards power subsidy for aqua farmers.

State Cabinet has approved the transfer of 15 acres of government land in favour of the Tribal welfare Department for construction of Eklavya Model Residential School, in Visakhapatnam district.

Eklavya Model Residential School will be constructed at the Majjivalasa village of Araku Valley mandal in Visakhapatnam district.

Cabinet has also decided to allot 53.45 acres of land to Yogi Vemana University at Masapeta village of Rayachoti mandal. Land will be given for its Post-Graduate Centre.

AP to conduct Aaududam Andhra (Play Andhra) sports festival for 46 days

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the AP government will conduct Sports celebrations across the state under the name of “Aaududam Andhra” (Play Andhra) for a long stretch of 46 days.

Sports and

games competitions will be held in village/ward, mandal, constituency, district, state levels during the course of seven weeks.

The CM made the announcement at a review meeting he held on sports and youth Services at his CM Camp Office in Tadepalli on Thursday.

MPEDA has supplied over 60 per cent of the total 650 tonnes mud crab seeds toAndhra Pradesh. MPEDA has decided to promote mud crab farming which would not only contribute to a

considerable component of coastal but also provide a Source Of Income for fishermen.

Mud crabs are known for their high flesh content and rapid Growth rate in captivity. A fully-grown mud crab weighs over 1,200 gms. Live mud crabs are in demand in global market. Depending on the size (500 gms, 1,000 gms, above 1,000 gms), prices vary from Rs 600 to Rs 1,200 per kg.

Mud crabs are much in demand in South East Asian countries where live crabs are highly preferred as delectable seafood.
