Yati Yatan Lal was a social reformer and freedom fighter who was associated with the Sevagram Ashram in Mahasamund. He was born in 1882 in the village of Sevagram in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He was educated at the local school and then at the Fergusson College in Pune. After graduating from college, he worked as a teacher for a few years. In 1905, he joined the Indian National Congress and became a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. He participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement and the Quit India Movement. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly of India. He died in 1965.
