Anil Kumble is an Indian former cricketer who played international cricket from 1990 to 2008. He is the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket for India, with 619 wickets in 132 matches. He is also the only bowler to have taken all 10 wickets in a Test innings, which he achieved twice.
Kumble was born in Bangalore, India, on 17 October 1970. He made his Test debut for India in 1990 against England. He quickly established himself as one of India’s leading bowlers, and was a key member of the team that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
