Accusing the opposition of spreading lies over the issue of Unemployment in Haryana, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that unemployment rate in the state stands at 6.1 percent with around 10.59 lakh people in the age group of 18-58 years declaring themselves as unemployed.
As per the data collected under Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) programme which has covered 98 percent of states families till now, there are 1.73 crore people in the age group of 18- 58 years and out of them 1059530 persons have declared themselves unemployed. On the basis of these figures, the unemployment rate of Haryana stands at only 6.1 percent, the Chief Minister said while talking to the mediapersonshere.
The rhetoric being made by the Congress leaders while quoting the report of Centre for Monitoring Indian economy (CMIE) on highest unemployment rate in Haryana in the country is false and baseless, the Chief Minister said while warning of taking legal action against the CMIE for defaming the state.
