The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday approved up to Rs 3 crores subsidy for expansion of private industrial parks in the state.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Briefing newspersons, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said the cabinet also approved a list of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) service category.

Solar power-based ancillary Plants and wooden-based industries were included in the Industrial Policy as prioritized industries, the Minister said.

The cabinet also relaxed the condition of being a bonafide citizen of Bastar, Surguja divisions and Korba districts for appointments as Assistant Teacher in Swami Aatmanand English Medium Schools.

The cabinet exempted the quarterly tax for buses operated by educational institutions. The exemption includes the quarters between July, 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.

The cabinet decided to distribute additional free food-grains under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana.

The distribution is to be done under the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutrition Security Act and an additional burden of Rs 223.58 crores to the exchequer will be borne by the , the Minister added.
