After recently giving relief to those owning houses and shops of municipality on lease or rent basis for the past 20 years by announcing ownership rights for all such owners, Haryana Government on Wednesday launched Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Svamita Yojana portal to invite applications from the eligible beneficiaries.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched the portal. He also launched Jan Sahayak-Aapka Sahayak a mobile platform ensuring anywhere-anytime-anybody delivery of Government to Citizen (G2C) and Business to Citizen (B2C) Services through one access point.

Under this scheme, if someone has constructed more than the floor or area of the allotted building of the , then he will have to deposit an additional amount that is Rs 1,000 as per the additional constructed area.

If the applicant is not allottee or subletee as per rules of the Municipality but fulfils all the eligibility criteria of the policy, then they will also have to pay a lump sum regular fee of Rs 30,000 in addition to the amount and tax to be paid as mentioned in the policy.

Notably, Haryana Government has framed a policy under which the tenant will have to pay less than the present collector rate to get the ownership right.

Himachal farmers get financial aid to cultivate medicinal plants

The is pushing hard for cultivation and conservation of medicinal Plants. It has introduced several policies to encourage farmers to cultivate these plants and supplement their income. The State Medicinal Plants Board, functioning under the aegis of the Ayush Department, is also working to ensure easy availability of medicinal plants for manufacturing Ayurvedic medicines.

According to a government spokesperson, the state government was providing financial assistance to farmers in different agro-climatic zones for cultivating medicinal plants under the National Ayush Mission. Various farmer clusters have been prepared for this purpose. To avail the financial assistance, a farmer cluster must cover at least two hectares. A cluster can comprise three adjoining villages within 15-km radius.

As part of efforts to better deal with the Covid-19 situation, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat virtually inaugurated oxygen generation plants in five hospitals in different parts of the state. The oxygen plants inaugurated by the CM include a 250 LPM plant at Bageshwar district hospital, 100 LPM plant at Champawat district hospital, 200 LPM plant at Pithoragarh district hospital and 1,000 LPM capacity plants each in Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant and Coronation Hospital in Dehradun.

These five Plants will generate a total of 4.76 metric tonnes of Oxygen per day. Rawat thanked Azim Premji for the 600 LPM oxygen plant being set up in Pithoragarh with the help of Azim Premji Foundation and social worker Gopal Goswami for facilitating CSR funding for the Bageshwar plant. The oxygen plants set up in Champawat, Pithoragarh and Dehradun have been provided for by the Government of India through the PM CARES fund.

To give a separate identity to the State, the role of tribals has to be decided. The council will prove to be helpful in preparing a better action plan for the tribal community. Special thinking needs to be done for the 27 per cent tribals of Jharkhand, their social, economic, educational and political aspects will have to be strengthened. To make tribals a part of the all-round development of the State, many parameters have to be fixed. Suggestions of all the members will play an important role in this. Together we have to connect the tribal community with the mainstream of development in a planned manner, he said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday told officials to ensure supply of green fodder to all the gauthans constructed under Suraji Gaon Yojana.

In gauthans reserve land meant for grazing, napier grass should be grown. The Forest Department should also take up plantation of green fodder. It should be then supplied to the gauthans, Baghel said.

The gauthan committees which are not active will be revived. The incomplete gauthans should be completed on priority. The Roka Chheka drive in villages should commence from July 1, said Baghel.
