Black fungus declared notified disease in Haryana

State Health minister Anil Vij said black fungus has now been declared a notified disease inHaryana.

The decision came after over 40 cases of black fungus were found in Covid patients inGurugram, Karnal, Fatehabad and other districts of the state.

PGIMS-Rohtak and a tertiary care hospital of Gurugram were the first ones to report cases of black fungus in Haryana.

He further said that the students should not get complacent and continue with their exam preparation.

Adani commissions 50 Mw solar power plant in Chitrakoot

Adani Green EnergyLimited (AGEL) announced commissioning of 50 MW solar powerplantinChitrakoot.

The plant, Adani Chitrakoot One Limited, has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) withUttar Pradesh Power Corporationlimited at Rs. 3.07/KWh.. With this commissioning AGELs total operational renewable capacity grows to 3,520 MW.

The company said that the plant will be connected to its state-of-the-art energy Network operation centre (ENOC) that continuously monitors and analyses performance of 80+ solar and wind Plants across diverse locations in India. With this, AGEL has an operational solar generation capacity of over 3 GW.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated Birsa Jeevan Ayush Program online. The Chief Minister said, on the occasion, that the State Government is working on many new dimensions to overcome this global epidemic. Today another programme is being inaugurated in this episode. Many lifesaving medicines by homeopath method have been prepared by homeopathic experts to fight Covid-19 infection. These medicines are useful in correcting oxygen deficiency in patients body from infection.

The CM said that under this program, Birsa Jeevan Aayush Kit will be made available to the Coronavirus infected patients. The Birsa Jeevan Aayush Kit will have immunity booster medicines to increase immunity, which will be useful in quick recovery of coronavirus infected patients. This kit will also be delivered to the homes of patients living in Home isolation. Under this programme, medicines will also be given to the relatives of corona infected patients who have come in contact with them. Besides, medicines will also be given to all the frontline workers working for control of Covid-19. The CM said that this kit of medicines will be made available to the infected patients in all the districts of the State. On the occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off three vehicles plying under Birsa Jeevan Ayush Programme.

Bihar set to procure Covishield from SII

In the wake of the Centre allowing the states to buy Covid Vaccines directly from the manufacturers, the Bihar government has decided to procure Covishield from Serum Institute of India (SII), Pune, for vaccinating people above the age of 18 from May 1. CM Nitish Kumar has already announced that free Covid vaccines for everyone above 18.

Altogether 5.46crore people in the 18-44 age group have been identified for vaccination in the next phase starting May 1. As SII has announced its rates for procurement by states, we have decided to place our first order ahead of the commencement of vaccination of people above the age of 18.

the Centre announced its strategy for phase-3 of vaccination against Covid, which included inoculation of everyone above 18. It stated that vaccine manufacturers would supply 50% of their monthly production to the central government and they would be free to supply the remaining 50% to the state governments and in the open market (private hospitals). Manufacturers have also been asked to declare their prices for the supply to state governments and open markets.

SII announced that it will charge Rs400 per dose for Covishield from the state and Rs600 per dose from private hospitals from May 1, when open for all adults.

Gujarat: Gold imports down 51% in April
