Hry CM releases Rs 5.33 crore to beneficiaries of PMJJBY, PMSBY and three Maandhan schemes

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said that the State Governments target is to cover maximum beneficiaries under various schemes by March 31, 2022.

While releasing the premium amount of Rs 5.33 crore to 3,14,446 beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojna (MMPSY) during a state-level function held through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that since 2014, ensuring the reach of the benefits of various government schemes and programmes to those in the last of the pyramid while following the path of Antyodaya as shown by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya has remained the utmost priority of the .

During the programme, out of the total 3,14,446 beneficiaries under MMPSY, as many as 29 beneficiaries enrolled under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and all the three Maandhan schemes including Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PMKMY), Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PMSYMY), and Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Mandhan Pension Yojana (PMLVMY) received the scheme acknowledgement letter from the Chief Minister, while rest of the beneficiaries received the same from the Deputy Commissioners at the programme held at district level.

Under MMPSY, beneficiaries are eligible to get a benefit of Rs 6000 per year and this amount will be used to pay the beneficiary’s share of centrally sponsored schemes for pension and Insurance, informed the Chief Minister.

Kangra to have 100 early landslide warning systems

The District Administration of Kangra has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IIT Mandi for development of satellite-based subsidence system profile for Kangra district and its adjoining areas. The system would act as an early warning system (EWS) for landslides. It is for the first time that such a system would be developed in the state.

Deputy Commissioner Kangra, Nipun Jindal said that 100 landslide monitoring and early warning systems would be deployed at certain sites based on analysis to be conducted for landslide vulnerability. As per the MoU, it would be the mandate of the IIT Mandi to develop machines for predicting landslides that can act as early warning systems, he said.

Jharkhand poorly managed central funds meant for running welfare schemes

BJPs state chief DeepakPrakash evening alleged that theJharkhandgovernment has been trying to mask its failures by falsely accusing the Union Government of not disbursing appropriate funds for running the social welfare schemes here.
Prakash convened a press meet at the BJPs state headquarters in the evening and claimed that the Narendra Modi government had provided Rs 107.67 lakh crore to Jharkhand between 2019 and 2022 (including transfers and grants) but the Hemant Soren-led government poorly managed the funds and failed to put the in use.

Cgarh pioneers solar pump installation

Chhattisgarh has become a pioneer state in installation of solar pump installation, beating major developed states across the country.

Under Saur Sujala Yojana, water supply arrangements for Irrigation have been made for more than one lakh farmers of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday felicitated the 100,000th beneficiary of this scheme, Surendra Nag, at the Republic Day function held in Jagdalpur.

CREDA had installed the 100,000th solar pump on the agricultural land of Nag in Bastar district under Saur Sujala Yojana. Baghel underlined the success of the scheme by presenting a cutout of the solar pump to Nag.

CREDA is operating Saur Sujala Yojana to enhance the irrigation capacity and to expand the irrigated farming area in the non-electrified areas of the state.

Solar pumps of three and five horse-power capacity are being installed in the agricultural farms.

Besides, solar pumps are also being installed in Gauthans, pastures and registered cowsheds under the ambitious Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari programme.

Around 100,000 hectares of agricultural land is being irrigated by solar pumps under the scheme in the state.

Installation of solar pumps has not only increased the agricultural production, but has also improved the ground water table in the state. This scheme is helping in strengthening the rural economy and in raising people’s standard of living.

Madhya Pradesh: Govt eyes Rs 10,000 crore investment at new Pithampur sector 7

The proposed region in Sector 7 atPithampurwill be developed as an integrated industrial belt by spending an estimated Rs 550 crore. The State Government is eyeing to attract an investment of around Rs 10,000 crore.

As per the proposal by the Industry department, an integrated development will come up on over 700 hectare in sector 7 at Pithampur that will include industrial, residential, Logistics and commercial spaces.

As per the investment region development and management scheme plan for sector 7 Pithampur, the region is estimated to attract investments from over 400 different types of industries.

As per the proposed plan, the first phase of development for the proposed investment region is likely to come up on over 700 hectare which will include roads, storm drains, water supply Network, sewerage network, STPs, treated water network, electrical work, boundary walls, commercial spaces and residences.

The allotable area in the proposed industrial area sector 7 is likely around 450 hectare.

Defence equipment parts: Rajkot units hopeful of boom

The increase in capital procurement budget to 68% for domestic in the DEFENCE sector is expected to increase output from Rajkot, the hub of engineering units, many of whom are engaged in making parts for defence equipment. There are at least 300 small and big units making parts fordefence equipment, according to industry sources in Rajkot.
Over the last few years, the engineering units of Rajkot are bagging contracts from the Indian Railways as well as the defence ministry.

The FM proposed revoking anti-dumping duty and countervailing duty (CVD) on stainless steel and coated steel flat products, bars of Alloy steel and high speed steel. This will also help the local engineering units, especially those making kitchenware and hardware industry.

PMAY-G: 1.55 lakh beneficiaries found eligible after state survey

Of 2.01 lakhPradhan MantriAwaasYojana-Grameen(PMAY-G) beneficiaries whose names were rejected by the Centres portal (Awaas+) due to technical errors, 1.55 lakh were found to be eligible after physical verification conducted by the states rural development department, the state governments survey report said.

The reasons listed for rejection of names by the portal are land related issues, house related issues, income and facility related issues, document duplication related issues and other reasons.

According to the report, under the head Document Duplication, 40,893 names were rejected citing reason family with same job card number already present in the Awaas+ PWL (permanent waiting list). However, after verification, 34,695 were found to be eligible under PMAY-G. In all, 33,233 names were rejected citing reason – duplicateAadharnumber, same Aadhar already mapped with existing beneficiary on AwaasSoft. However, following verification, 18,044 were found to be eligible in this category.

Under the head land related issues, 18,774 names were rejected citing reason 5 acres of more of irrigated land for two or more crop seasons. But, of the total, 15,068 beneficiaries were found to be eligible after physical verification.

Electronic Goods India’s Exports

In December 2021, India’s electronic goods exports totaled USD 1.67 billion. It increased by 33.99 percent compared to December 2020 exports of USD 1.25 billion.

Highlights:

From April to December 2021, the electronic sector’s exports increased by 49 percent, reaching USD 11.0 billion, up from USD 7.4 billion in 2020.

Exports of Electronic Goods increased by 26% and 131 percent, respectively, from USD 8.8 billion in April-December 2019 to USD 4.8 billion in April-December 2014.

Mobile phones account for a significant portion of India’s electronic goods exports.

Bharti Airtel and Google have launched long-term cooperation to help India’s digital ecosystem grow faster.

Google would spend $1 billion in Airtel as part of the agreement. Google would invest USD 700 million to acquire a 1.28 percent interest in Bharti Airtel Ltd.
