This centre will ensure local availability of Tussar Silk yarn, reduce the silk production cost as well as create local EMPLOYMENT.

Tussar silk is one of the finest varieties of Silk. It is distinguished by its coarseness and porous weave, giving it a rugged and rustic appearance.

This centre was set up at a cost of Rs 75 lakh.

It is capable of producing 200 KG of silk yarn of worth Rs 94 lakh annually.

Tamil Nadu government, which unveiled its new export promotion strategy recently, has identified six champion sectors to focus for the statesexports thrust.The champion sectors identified for strategy include automobile and auto components, textiles, food processing, leather and footwear, electronic and communication as well as machinery.

Unveiling the states Export Promotion strategy on Wednesday this week, chief minister M K Stalin had set out a target for the state to achieve $100 billion in exports by 2030. This requires the states exports to jump four-fold in just over eight years from the present $26 billion and hence the need to identify champion sectors for special focus as part of the strategy.

Nadu boasts of a diversified export basket in various sectors including automobile and components, machinery and instruments, electronic hardware, Software, readymade garments and accessories, yarns, fabrics and leather products. Manufactured goods account for a significant share of the states economic Growth and exports and hence it has traditionally focused on exportoriented manufacturing to foster high-value production.

According to the export policy, the value of merchandise from Tamil Nadu stood at Rs 11.55 lakh crore ($168.5 billion) between 2015-16 and 2020-21. In FY2020-21, Tamil Nadu accounted for 9% of the national exports.

US-based Wingsure will collaborate with government agencies to develop a ground distribution strategy by leveraging its deep-tech platform, including AR (Augmented Reality), AI (), ML (Machine Learning)-based personalized solutions, along with voice bots and natural language processing (NLP), to allow farmers to communicate in their native language.
It will curate and distribute crop and other general Insurance products via its Network of insurers and broker partners. It will also provide customized advisory, training, and facilitate rapid insurance claims through its mobile-based platform.

While Telanaganas Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) department will facilitate the implementation of the solution, the Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture department will offer on-ground implementation through its existing network.

Recidivism (the tendency of a criminal to reoffend) in Andhra Pradesh accounts for 6.1% of cases among persons arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), placing the state second in southern India after Telangana in 2020, as per data from the latest NationalCrimeRecords Bureau (NCRB) report.

Under the category of special and local laws (SLL), Andhra Pradesh ranked first among southern states with 8% of recidivism.

NCRB data states 1,26,736 people, including 825 juveniles, were apprehended under IPC offences in Andhra Pradesh in 2020. Union road transport and highways ministerNitin Gadkarion Fridy said the Centres infrastructure committee would soon approve a proposal to sanction 13 acres of defence land for the expansion of the city airport.

Gadkari also said his ministry was ready to develop the proposed ring road around the city if the State Government acquires and hands over land. He further said that his ministry was working on a new expressway between Pune and Bengaluru, via Phaltan-Satara-outer Belgaum, at an estimated cost of Rs 40,000 crore.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state is fully geared up to handle the issue of agricultural crop residue burning and air pollution issues ahead of the winter season.

At present, around 47 percent of the area of Haryana comes under the NCR region. Therefore, it is requested that all such provisions should be implemented within the radius of 10 km of NCT and Delhi or within the 10 km radius of cities having 10 lakh Population or these provisions should be implemented as per district specified, not as NCR,” he said.

As many as 34,372 machines (besides 19,353 rotavators which are removed from the list of crop residue management (CRM) implements by the Government of India are available in Haryana with individual farmers in 4,224 Custom Hiring Centers, the Chief Minister said.
