Adventure-sports training to be given to 1,000 youth every year in Hry: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced that 1,000 youth of the state would be imparted training in adventure Sports every year by the so as to enable them to get EMPLOYMENT.

Besides this, adventure-sports will be started in the hills of Kalesar, Dhosi, Aravalli and Mewat, where three to five ‘adventure-sports camps’ will be organised every year other than such camps being organised in Morni, Panchkula.

An amount of Rs 2 crore will be spent every year on training in the above camps, said the Chief Minister while addressing the youth at the closing ceremony of the training programme named ‘Youthpreneur’ under the ‘Milkha Singh Adventure Sports Club’ organised by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of Haryana.

One district, one product scheme in Himachal Pradesh makes little headway

Each district is to identify a food product, with special focus on perishable farm produce, cereal-based product, or a food product widely produced in the district and their allied sectors.

The scheme is to facilitate entrepreneurs, in terms of procurement of inputs, common Services and Marketing of the product.

It will also provide a framework for value chain development and alignment of support . More than one cluster of products can be set up in a district.

BAU & Agri Dept begin research on oil seed Gobhi Sarson

Agricultural think tank of the State, Birsa Agricultural University (BAU), and the Agricultural Directorate of the are jointly trying to increase income of the farmers of the State. In order to do so, BAU has started research on the newly emerging oilseed crop Gobhi Sarson’ in the current Rabi season for searching opportunities in the State.

This initiative of research on this crop is being done for the first time in the State by the Agronomy Department of BAU, which is being implemented under the ICAR supported All India Coordinated Research project on Integrated Farming System Research.

This crop was planted in November in the agronomy department’s Integrated Farming System Research Farm. Presently this crop is flourishing in the field. Flowering has started in its Plants.

Bihar Police Academy ‘best’ in eastern region

Bihar Police Academy(BPA),Rajgirhas received Union Home Minister’s Trophy for best police training institution in eastern zone for 2020-21.

The academy has received the award in the non-gazetted officers category.

The first state-of-the- art police academy in Bihar at Rajgir was built on a sprawling campus of 133.28 acres of land near the building of Universityon Rajgir-Chhabilapurroad with an expenditure of around Rs 290 crore.

New species of bird observed in Cgarh

A new species of bird, Fire-Capped Tit, has been observed in Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh. This was confirmed by www.ebird.org

The male birds face has a slight red colour instead of a fiery red color, which makes it unique. The red part is absent on the female birds face. But both are distinctive in terms of size.

The beak is short and sharp while its plumage is Light yellow, an official Communication said.

Both male and female birds have yellow upper-parts and lighter brown undersides, although the males upperparts are predominantly paler than the female’s.

They have been found in broadleaf forest, at medium and higher altitudes. The birds generally live in their flock but sometimes can be seen with other species of birds.

Madhya Pradeshs revenue target is Rs 38,000 crore for 2021-22

In the financial year 2021-22, the government has set a revenue target of Rs 38,000 crore. In the financial year 2020-21, Rs 32,764 crore was received fromGST, VAT and professional tax.

Finance ministerJagdish Devdahas said that taxpayers have an important contribution in making India a 5 trillion economy and realising the vision of Atma-nirbhar MP. He said that due to better system and collected taxes, successful implementation of public welfare schemes of the government is possible.Devdahad a having pre-budget discussions with taxpayers, tax experts and representatives of Industry and business sector in the process of preparing thebudgetfor the year 2022-23 earlier this week.

The FM said that despite the Covid pandemic, with the cooperation of all, a revenue of Rs 32,764 crore was received from GST, VAT and professional tax in the financial year 2020-21. In the current financial year 2021-22, the target is to get revenue of Rs 38,082 crore. Everyone’s cooperation in achieving this goal will also be important and commendable.He lauded the taxpayers for paying taxes on time and being sensitive towards the development of the state.

Gujarat stares at 99% shortage of super specialists in government hospitals

At a time when the state is battling a massive surge in Covid-19 cases, it is faced with an alarming deficit of super specialists in government hospitals.

Going by government data itself,Gujaratis faced with a 99% shortfall in super specialist doctors like surgeons, paediatricians, obstetricians-gynaecologists and the like.

This deficit of specialist doctors is the highest among all major states of the country. If Gujarat was compared to all states, it is ranked second from bottom with onlyMizoramfaring worse than Gujarat.

According to data released in the Handbook of Statistics of India States (2020-2021) by the Reserve Bank Of India, Gujarat has a requirement of 1,392 super specialists, and its shortfall is 99% at 1,379. Among all states, only Mizoram fares worse with a 100% shortfall against the requirement of 36 super specialists.

All other states fare better than Gujarat in terms of the deficit of super specialists in government healthcare systems.

Maharashtra(64%), Madhya Pradesh (96%),Rajasthan(80%),Bihar(46%), Uttar Pradesh (71%) West Bengal (54%) and several other states have a lesser Percentage of deficit of super specialists as compared to Gujarat.

Govt push for affordable housing scheme in Rajasthan

The has given relaxation to the developers constructing affordable houses under the public private PARTNERSHIP (PPP) mode in the state.

The decision was taken after the pace to construct affordable houses including economic weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG) slowed down due to existing policies, which became a hindrance in achieving a target of 4,200 houses.

The department will take a loan of Rs 200 crore to complete these projects. While Rs 160 crore will be spent to construct the pending 19,244 houses under Jan Awas Yojana, Rs 40 crore will be spent for constructing 4,112 affordable houses.

Rural Area Development Plan Formulation and Implementation (RADFI)

The Ministry of recently revised the Rural Area Development Plan Formulation and Implementation. The plan has been revised to increase rural prosperity.

The town areas are increasing. The spatial development in gram panchayats is not planned well. The census towns are increasing. It is essential to link the agro climatic regions with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The plan aims to improve spatial rural planning. It intends to transform the villages and provide better Quality Of Life. Also, it aims to implement effective land planning. The RADFI includes the Village Planning Scheme, which is currently operating under the Town Planning Schemes. The Village Planning Scheme is implemented in urban villages.

Merger of Amar Jawan Jyoti

Recently, Central government rejected the contention that Amar Jawan Jyoti has been extinguished.

Government further asserted that Amar Jawan Jyoti has been merged with the flame at National War Memorial in the vicinity.

They are of the view that, this merger will mark a tribute to the fallen soldiers befitting their sacrifice.

India Gate is a memorial, honouring the fallen heroes of the First World War. Amar Jawan Jyoti was added to it in 1972 because India did not have another memorial.
