CM launches Gaura Shakti feature in Ukhand Police App

In an important step towards ensuring the safety of working Women, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the self registration facility for the women working in the government and other offices of the State in the Uttarakhand Police App.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that working women can get themselves registered using the Gaura Shakti option in the app of the Uttarakhand police. He said that in view of women safety and Empowerment, the working women should be encouraged to get themselves registered in the app. Dhami emphasised the need for proper publicity of the app and suggested that seminars should be organised in every district for the purpose. He directed that prompt action on the complaints received in the Gaura Shakti should be taken and the action taken should be monitored by the senior officers The CM expressed confidence that the self registration facility would help in generating a feeling of safety in the working women which is in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of developing better ecosystem for them.

The officers informed the CM that the information given in the registration would be kept secret and one woman sub inspector in every district has been deployed under the scheme. Similarly one woman sub inspector and one woman constable have been deployed in every police station. When a registration is made under the Gaura Shakti option in the Uttarakhand Police App, the female SI from the police station concerned would make a call to the woman and give information about completion of process of registration. Feedback would also be taken from time to time.

Under the scheme women can also submit e-complaints in the app. Important phone numbers and information about their rights and laws would also be available in the Gaura Shakti option.

UPPCL to revamp power generation, distribution

In a bid to reform the electricity generation, transmission and distribution system in Uttar Pradesh, the has directed the UP Power Corporation Limited to work on a mission mode to roll out the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) of the Centre and the state.

The state government has a 60 per cent stake in the RDSS.

The state government has instructed all power distribution companies (discoms) to prepare an action plan in order to offer consumers uninterrupted and secure power supply.

In Uttar Pradesh, there are around three crore households with electricity connections. The government said that before the upcoming summer season, work should begin on developing a plan to create a sturdy energy structure to ensure continuous power supply to all of the state’s energy consumers. The plan includes building new sub-stations, creating a seamless transmission and distribution system, and activating additional power generation units on a war footing to achieve the goal.

According to UPPCL Chairman M Devraj, the tendering process has been completed in numerous districts across the state. He said the state’s power Industry would undergo a significant change as a result of this plan.

The deadline for the complete implementation of the scheme is 20242025 and the Uttar Pradesh government has allocated a budget of Rs. 5,000 crore for this. Under this government scheme, which has been described as result-oriented, the aggregate technical and commercial loss (AT&C) will decrease to 12-15 per cent. Apart from this, the Average cost of supply and average revenue will be balanced and the power loss will be reduced to the barest minimum.

The scheme aims to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to all the villages, towns and metros of the state. Moreover, in cases of a fault or breakdown affecting only one line, and to get rid of the problem of low voltage, armoured service cable will be utilised for safe power supply. In addition, for error-free and timely electricity bills, smart prepaid meters will be installed according to the plan. Also, separate switches will be installed to monitor each feeder.

The government will also provide funds to the newly formed municipal bodies in the state under Mukhyamantri Nagar Srijan Yojana to strengthen the power supply Network there.

For the better health of the adolescent girls and boys of the State, the state government is committed to provide proper health check-up and medical services as needed. All the adolescent girls studying in government and government aided schools up to class 6-12 are not able to get health check-ups on time, due to which they have vision defects, ear related diseases, TB, anaemia, skin diseases, Goiter diseases, fluorosis etc. Diseases are not detected in time, due to which many challenges arise in their life over time.

The total number of adolescent girls in class 6-12 of government and government aided schools of the State is 21,94,106, in which the number of adolescents is 10,15,407 and the number of adolescent girls is 11,78,699.

It is noteworthy that at present, under the National Adolescent Health Program (RKSK), distribution of blue tablets of iron and folic acid, half-yearly distribution of albendazole tablet, to school going boys and girls of class 6-12, in the schemes run by the health department for adolescent girls. Distribution of sanitary napkins, health check-up and treatment of adolescent girls under National Child Health Program and referral to higher health centers, mental health awareness under mental health program, eye examination of adolescent girls under National Blindness Control Program and distribution of spectacles as per requirement, etc is included.

The health check-up of adolescent girls can be completed in a certain time frame by running a campaign in coordination with the Education department and timely identification of diseases in children can be done so that the disease does not increase and prevention and proper treatment can be done.

Patna best dist under swachh Bihar mission

Patna has been adjudged the best district in the state for its commendable performance in execution of solid and liquid Waste Management underLohiya Swachh Bihar Abhiyan(LSBA).

The four categories in which the district was awarded the best were overall solid and liquid waste disposal management, performance of Mokama and Daniyavan blocks and that of Kurkuri panchayat underPhilwarisharifblock.

The DM said six village panchayats are slated to be made open defecation free (ODF) in the district under LSBS programme. Besides, it would also be ensured that all those associated with government buildings, schools and anganwadi centres properly used toilets and ensured disposal of solid and liquid wastes.

Remarkable work done by SHGs in MP to make women self-reliant: Murmu

President Draupadi Murmu has said that remarkable work has been done in Madhya Pradesh to make Women self-dependent through self-help groups. Here about 42 lakh women have been empowered economically and socially by joining SHGs.

These women have been provided bank loans worth Rs 4,157 crore for agricultural and non-agricultural works through the government. Their products have been taken to big markets through ‘one district-one product’ scheme in the state. Products worth more than Rs 535 crore have been sold through the Aajeevika Mart portal.

About 17,000 women have become panchayat representatives in the state. Here are some inspiring success stories of women. Self-help groups have taken the form of a mass movement in Madhya Pradesh.

This has been possible with the efforts of all women and the cooperation of the government. For this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Government and women all deserve congratulations.

Murmu said that maximum participation of women power is necessary in making a self-reliant and developed India. We have to create such an Environment, so that girls of all classes feel fearless and independent and can make full use of their talents. Indias First Suicide Prevention Policy

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recently unveiled the National Suicide Prevention Strategy Indias first suicide prevention policy.

National Suicide Prevention Strategy (NSPS) aims to reduce suicide mortality by 10 per cent by 2030 through timely actions and multi-sectoral collaborations.

The NSPS is divided into 3 parts immediate, intermediate and long-term strategy.

Its priority areas are reducing easy access to suicide modes, strengthening healthcare systems to prevent suicide, sensitization through media and strengthening suicide surveillance.

Under this policy, the government will phase out hazardous pesticides.

The 25thNational Conference on e-Governance will be organized on November 26 and 27 this year

25thNational Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) will be held in Katra a city in the .

It will be jointly organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
