Centre has assured to supply 10 rakes of DAP, five rakes of NPK and two of SSP to state

Punjab Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Minister Randeep Singh Nabha said that Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has assured 10 rakes of DAP (Diammonium Phosphate), five rakes of NPK (Complex Fertilizer) and two of SSP (Single Super Phosphate) within three to four days to the state.

Punjab has 0.74 LMT opening stock of DAP on October 1 as compared to 3.63 LMT last year (October 1, 2020).

It is being felt likely shortfall of this crucial input may appear for the sowing of wheat crop and only 20-25 days have been left for complete sowing of wheat, he said demanding an additional allocation of 1.50 LMT of DAP in October expeditiously, he said

According to Nabha, Punjab got only 80,951 MT DAP against an allocation plan of 1,97,250 MT, which is 41 per cent of the total allocation while Haryana got 89 per cent (Supply Plan 58650, Despatched 52155) of total allocation. Uttar Pradesh, he said, got 170 per cent (Supply Plan 60000, dispatched 102201) and Rajasthan 88 per cent (Supply Plan 67890, dispatched 59936).

Spitis Tashigang to be model polling station

The worlds highest, Tashigang, will be a model polling station in Lahaul and Spiti. The will make adequate arrangements to ensure a 100 per cent voting at the polling station on October 30.

Besides, two other model polling stations will be set up at Rangrik and Jhalma. Situated at 15,226 feet, Tashigang village in the Spiti valley has 47 voters, including 18 Women.

OTS scheme of cooperative banks extended till Nov 15

In view of the good response it is generating and the ongoing festival season, the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) for the loan defaulters of the of the state has been extended by the State Government till November 15 this year.

Giving details he said that Rs 40.53 lakh by 69 people in Haridwar, Rs 85.81 lakh by 59 persons in Kotdwar, Rs 23.14 Lakh by 26 persons in Dehradun, Rs 4.28 Lakh by 11 in Chamoli, Rs 132.62 lakh by 47 in Tehri, Rs 82.40 Lakh by 53 persons in Uttarkashi, Rs 63.38 lakh by 36 in Almora, Rs 25.43 Lakh by 25 in Nainital, Rs 33.78 Lakh by 3 in Pithoragarh, Rs 1.61 Lakh by five in Udham Singh Nagar and Rs 84.5 lakhs by 15 persons in State Cooperative Bank Haldwani in OTS so far.

Modi Van Launched By Amit Shah

The Home Minister Amit Shah has launched Modi Van, Mobile medical vans on 19 October in UP.

Highlights:

Five Mobile Medical Vans, called Modi Vans, were launched in the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh.

These vans have been launched under the Seva Hi Sangathan program of BJP.

These were started to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 20 years as the Head of the government.

The Five Mobile Medical Vans will operate in five Assembly Constituencies in Kaushambi.

These vans will work under the agency of Kaushambi Vikas Parishad, run by BJPs National Secretary Vinod Sonkar.

The Modi Van will also help in raising vaccination awareness against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Min asks coal PSUs in state to hike production

Union minister for coal, mines and parliamentary affairs Pralhad Joshi came to Jharkhand on a day-long visit on Thursday to hold talks with the coal companies and sort out the possible coal crisis, which is suspected to have hit power production in the country.

During the meeting, the minister gave directions to ensure sustained coal production and dispatch to the power Plants to ensure that there is no shortage. The festive season has started and it is our duty to provide an uninterrupted supply of coal to the power plants.

President On 3-Day Visit To Bihar

President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Patna, Bihar, on 20 October on a three-day visit.

Highlights

President Kovind will attend the celebration noting the Bihar Legislative Assembly building’s centenary during the visit.

He will also lay the foundation stone for the Shatabdi Smriti Stambh and plant the sapling of a Bodhi tree in the assembly premises before addressing the primary function.

Through centenary celebration, the new generation will come to know about the glorious past of the assembly.

He will visit Takhat Sri Harimandir Sahib Ji in Patna Sahib, the Vipassana centre at Buddha Smriti Park and Khadi Mall in Patna on 22 October, the last day of his visit.

Chhattisgarh: Bapu’s ‘Sevagram’ ashram to be emulated in Naya Raipur

Along the lines of Sevagram village model developed in Maharashtra’s Wardha, Chhattisgarh government will develop a ‘Sevagram village’ in Naya Raipur. For this, 76.5 acres of land has been earmarked.

The project will seek to work as the vision of Mahatma Gandhi‘s Gram Swaraj. A ‘second Home‘ for the elderly and a school for the underprivileged will also be set up in Sevagram, said Baghel.

In order to foster the values, principles, ideals of freedom struggle and Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of Gram-Swaraj intact, a Sevagram will be established in Naya Raipur along the lines of Sevagram ashram developed in Wardha in 1936.

The site also has two canals in an area of about five acres. Sevagram will be set up in the remaining 75 acres of land. Sewagram will be developed in such a way that there is a glimpse of the traditional rural building style of Chhattisgarh. Locally available construction materials will be used. The roads inside the ashram will also be in harmony with the rural Environment. The entire area will be full of greenery till the service village.

Madhya Pradesh cabinet nod to doorstep ration rollout in non-poll areas

The state cabinet has decided to implement the Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Dwar scheme for the convenience of poor tribal families, for distribution of ration material from their village to the eligible families of dependent villages of fair price shops in tribal development blocks of the state.

This scheme will be implemented in tribal development blocks of the remaining districts except those under election Code Of Conduct.

Under the scheme, tribal families of 7,511 villages will be benefited in 74 development blocks of 16 districts. Apart from the headquarters village, the distribution of ration material will be done by transporting it through vehicles in other villages attached to the shop. The days of each month will be fixed by the collector for distribution in the village.

Mutual fund AUM grew by Rs 55,000 cr in Gujarat

Riding on fresh inflows to -linked Mutual Funds and increasing net asset value, overall assets under management (AUM) for mutual funds (MFs) in Gujarat increased by Rs 55,201 crore in just eleven months. With this, total AUM for MFs in Gujarat breached the Rs 2.5 lakh crore-mark to touch Rs 2.57 lakh crore in September 2021, according to data by Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

In Gujarat, overall AUM breached the Rs 2 lakh crore mark in November 2020. Since then, AUM for equity MFs alone increased by Rs 44,440.65 crore, driven by sustained SIP inflows, and fresh inflows by investors drawn lured by attractive returns.
