Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh Inaugurates Worlds Most Sophisticated, Latest MRI Facility at the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Manesar, Haryana

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, inaugurated the world’s first and most advanced MRI facility at the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) in Manesar, Haryana.

Highlights

Dr. Singh stated that with this facility, India will be able to explore new horizons in human neuroscience with a unique and powerful 3T MRI platform.
He stated that Siemens’ Prisma MRI scanner is being used by a number of worldwide efforts, including the United States’ brain initiative and the European Human Brain Project.
This is being utilised to create human cohort data for patients with common brain and mental Health illnesses such as Parkinson’s, Alziemer’s , anxiety, and depression.
The Minister emphasised the importance of the Centre’s single-subject world-class research, which encourages translational research with the goal of discovering rational medicines and cures for brain illnesses.

Acceding to the demand of BKU (Ugrahan), Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has enhanced the amount of compensation from Rs 13,200 to Rs 18,700 per acre including 10% relief to the farm labourers in lieu of the damage caused to the cotton crop due to pink bollworm pest attack.

Channi had announced to enhance the existing amount of compensation from Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000 per acre to the growers in the Malwa belt of Southern Punjab. He also announced 10% relief to the cotton pickers over and above the aforesaid norms of compensation. Resultantly, the farm labourers/cotton pickers would now also get enhanced compensation of Rs 1,700 per acre from the earlier Rs 1,200 per acre.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also pointed out that the enhanced amount of Rs 5,000 per acre as relief would be soon paid by the State Government to the farmers besides 10% of this amount would be paid to the farm labourers.

Thanking the Chief Minister, BKU Ugrahan Chief Joginder Singh Ugrahan who called on the former in this regard said this much needed relief to the farmers and labourers would immensely help them to overcome the financial loss suffered by them on this count.

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed inaugurations and foundation stones of 31 developmental projects of about Rs. 77 crore at Reckong Peo in Kinnaur district today during his one day tour to the tribal district.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has termed his meeting with his Uttar Pradesh (UP) counterpart Yogi Adityanath on the long pending dispute of distribution of assets as historic for the people of Uttarakhand. Dhami returned to provisional State Capital Dehradun after the end of his three day visit to Lucknow on Saturday evening. Butterfly rearing centre developed at Bodh Gaya

In a bid to dissuade illegal wild bird trade, the Gaya forest division has developed Jai Prakash Udyan in Bodh Gaya as abutterflyrearing centre and promoting awareness among the tourists and the tourist guides by providing Services of butterfly release. The park is adjacent to the world heritage Mahabodhi Mahavihara.

The habitat will have designated plots for establishment and maintenance of the Resources required for butterflies. Altogether 18,327 square feet area has been selected for intense plantation and remaining part of the park is to be used for isolated and sporadic strategic plantation. More than 4,000 Plants of 55 species will be used to set up the habitat in and around the park throughout the year.

The centre will felicitate the breeding of prominent species of butterfly, including lemon emigrant, common jay, Indian jezebel, blue mormon, common rose, plain tier, blue tiger, plains cupid, psyche, common crow, common leopard, striped tiger, common ciliate blue, commander and grass demon.

In the Buddhist texts, the Bodhi tree is known as the tree of awakening under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The tree is scientifically known as Ficus religiasa, which has an ancient connection with butterflies. Common crow, which is a regular visitor to Jai Prakash Udyan, uses the sacred tree to complete its life cycle.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said the works and schemes of Chhattisgarh were getting national recognition.

Baghel said this while dedicating to the public 357 development works worth Rs 67.13 crores in 11 civic bodies in the state though a virtual programme.

The works for the welfare of tribals have been given impetus all over the country. The concluding conference of Tribal Pride Week will be held in Mandla on November 22 in which several tribal welfare activities will be started.

Efforts are also being made to honour tribal heroes for their roles in the freedom movement. Bhoomi-pujan of the idols of heroes Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah which will be installed in the Rajarajeshwari fort ward of Mandla, will also be held.

Chouhan said that tribals will be given community forest rights under the Forest Rights Act. Along with this, the natural rights and habitat will also be provided in the Patta Distribution and Forest Rights Act. Chouhan has said that the is ensuring implementation of whatever it promised for the welfare and development of tribals. Speedy implementation of State Government schemes and distribution of benefits are being ensured. Tribal Pride Week has been started to create awareness among tribes aimed at changing their lives.

Gujarats stock investors on BSE set to touch 1 crore-mark

With soaring share markets attracting more and more investors, the number ofstock investorsfromGujaratonBSE(BombayStock Exchange) is set to cross the one crore-mark.

Indias premier bourse has already seen the count of its registered users (based on unique client codes) from Gujarat jump to 99 lakh as of November 21, which is the second highest registered accounts on BSE after Maharashtra, shows the data compiled by the exchange.

Going by the addition of around 2.42 lakh new users over the previous month, the states tally of registered investors with BSE will soon achieve the milestone of one crore. These investors include all types of investors, be it individual or institutional or those investing through .

With a Growth of 31%, Gujarat has so far added 23.58 lakh investor accounts over the previous year, the BSE data further reveals. Gujarat currently has a share of 11% in total investors accounts on BSE.
