Himachal gets Central funding of Rs. 42 crore for three industrial projects: CM

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday informed that Himachal Pradesh has been awarded Central funding of Rs. 42 crore under PM GatiShakti related expenditure of ‘ Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital 2022-23’ from the Union department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. He said this assistance will go a long way in boosting industrial activities in the State.

Sukhu said the State Government had sent four projects amounting to Rs. 84 crore for Central assistance, keeping in view Logistics connectivity and industrial development in the state. The screening committee of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has approved three projects of Rs. 42 crore.

He said that one of the flagship projects under this scheme is setting up an IT Park at Rakh (Nagri) in Palampur Tehsil of District Kangra. He said that airport connectivity and Climate is highly suitable for IT enabled industries in the area. The total cost of project would be Rs. 35 crore.

Sukhu has directed the Industries Department to increase the size of the park from 250 kanal to at least 1000 kanal so that economies of scale could be encashed for generating EMPLOYMENT for local youth. He also asked for timely execution of these projects. He also directed to formulate Investment Oriented Open Policies to make Himachal Pradesh the most investor friendly state across the country. He asked Director, Industries, Rakesh Prajapati to visit the identified sites and initiate the process of setting up the IT Park. He said that it would create employment opportunities for people of Himachal Pradesh in the field of IT & ITES.

Pithoragarh district Panchayat takes initiative for waste management in villages

The district Panchayat of Pithoragarh has approved Rs 18.70 lakh to distribute dustbins and jute bags to each family in six Gram Panchayats of Munsyari as a pilot project to raise awareness about solid Waste Management in the villages. District Panchayat member Jagat Martolia said that this initiative has been taken under the Clean the Himalayas theme to raise awareness on waste management. He said that an amount of about Rs three lakh each has been sanctioned to five Gram Panchayats of Munsyari which are Kavadhar, Kwirizimiya, Khasiabada, Jalath, Dhimdhimiya besides Rs 3.70 lakh to Jaiti Gram Panchayat. He said that the administration will be working in these villages as a pilot project in association with the Society for Action in Himalaya organisation. He said that intense awareness campaigns will be run in these villages with the help of this organisation besides seeking assistance from the district and State administration. He said that the campaign would focus on how one can incorporate Solid Waste Management into daily routine.

He said that the administration will make young students of the six villages brand ambassadors of the campaign as an initiative to associate the younger generation with the cleanliness of the Himalayas and their surroundings in general. As per this plan, it would be the first time when there would be a brand ambassador for the campaign in every household in the block, said Martolia. He said that the administration will dedicate the next year to raising awareness on solid waste management in daily life and proper waste disposal methods to improve sanitation conditions across the district.

Several industrial groups evince interest in joining UP GIS

The Yogi Adityanath model of Governance in Uttar Pradesh is drawing a huge response from within the country and abroad with several industrial groups evincing interest in joining the proposed UP Global Investors Summit scheduled to be held in February next year.

Team Yogi visiting various countries is attracting investors through trade shows and roadshows. Numerous investors from America to Europe have been seen eager to invest in Uttar Pradesh.

In proposals received, agreements have been signed with Team Yogi for the establishment of several massive units, including units of manufacturing facilities, waste-to-energy units, wellness centres, eco-tourism resorts, information technology (IT) centres, and multi-Sports centres. The UP government has set a target of of Rs 10 lakh crore in the state through the Global Investors Summit and it is expected that this target will be fulfilled 100 per cent as huge investment proposals have been received from abroad.

The Uttar Pradesh government delegation led by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and IT Minister Yogendra Upadhyay received several offers for investment in the Netherlands. TeraWorks and Teamabi signed an intent to invest Rs 800 crore. Through this, it will begin GeoCrete additive manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh. GeoCrete is an additive mixed with cement. Similarly, GC-BV signed two investment intents for 150 million euros (about Rs 132 crore) to set up waste-to-energy units in Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad. The deputy chief minister welcomed the investment of GC-BV and invited them to the scheduled Global Investors Summit.

Apart from this, Valuecent Group also signed an intent to invest Rs 100 crore to set up a wellness centre, eco-tourism resort and IT centre in Mathura. At the same time, Sports Networking Science filed an investment intent of Rs 600 crore. Through this investment, a multi-sports centre will be established in Uttar Pradesh.

Jkhand to roll out smart agro village scheme soon

The state Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture department is soon going to launch smart agro village scheme to develop several pockets into model agri-centres which will promote latest farming techniques and boost farmers income.

Local MLAs have been asked to recommend sites for the scheme in their respective constituencies.

State agriculture ministerBadal Patralekhsaid, In the first phase, we have planned to set up 100 smart agro villages inJharkhand, a first of its kind by the here. This scheme is approved in this years budget too and we have funds ready for it. We are waiting for recommendations from the MLAs.
Jharkhand has 81 MLAs of which the minister said that so far they have received recommendations from 36 law makers.

Bihar to be self-dependent in production of seeds: Minister Kumar Sarvajeet

State agricultureminister Kumar Sarvajeet, who inaugurated a two-day Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture mechanisation fair on Sunday, announced that a centre of excellence for land conservation would be made in the district with an expenditure of Rs 40 crore.

He added Bihar would be made self-dependent inproduction of seeds. The Services of kisan salahkars will be regularized. Earlier, 9,000 posts were proposed to be filled in theagriculture department, and the number has now been increased to 15,000, the minister said.

Godhan scheme fulfils villagers dreams: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said the Godhan Nyay Yojana is helping to meet the dreams of villagers.

He was addressing avirtual event after transferring funds to the accounts of the beneficiaries of the scheme here, an official Communication said.

He made online transfer of Rs 5.99 crore against the cow dung procured from December 1 to 15.

He said with procurement of cow dung from cattle owners, villagers, farmers and labourers, it had become a source of additional income for them. A total of Rs 380 crores has been paid to the beneficiaries since the scheme was launched.

The villagers say the income is being utilized for their children’s Education, buying ornaments and two-wheelers and developing agricultural land, Baghel said.

Farmers have also donated 5 lakh quintals of hay in Gauthans. The paddy harvesting work is almost over in the state. The hay lying on the field of many farmers should also be brought to Gauthans, he underlined.

Sirohi secures first position in health services in Nov

In the monthly state ranking of Health Services, Sirohi ranked first in achieving the targets in immunisation, maternal health services, antenatal check-up, institutional delivery, family planning related services. Hanumangarh andSriganganagarwere at the second and third spot.

Health department released the ranking for November, 2022. Chief medical health officer (Sirohi) said the district reproductive and child health officer got the first position in vaccination and health facilities for pregnant Women and children across the state.

Indias first underwater metro service,The Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC)said that the East-West Metro Corridor project, is expected to be completed byDecember 2023.With this, another feather is being added to the crown of Kolkata Metro, the first metro railway in the country. Kolkata Metro, which started its journey in 1984, is being expanded to cover the whole city and its outskirts. The underwater metro, which will be running through the Hoogly river will connect the twin cities of Howrah and Kolkata.
