Haryana eyeing Rs 1 lakh crore investment for Global City project in Gurugram, says Khattar

The Haryana government is eyeing an of Rs 1 lakh crore in the Global City project in Gurugram which will come up over about 1,080 acres of land.

Khattar said that the Global City is a mixed land-use Township being developed over nearly 1,080 acres to redefine the concept of urban development and what cities of the future shall look like through its sustainability-focused future-oriented Infrastructure planning and design.

Punjab launches website to enroll family partition

Punjab Government, in a significant decision aimed at facilitating the citizens of the state by digitalizing the functioning of the Revenue Department, launched a website to further streamline the process to enrollKhangi Taqseem the family partition.

The Chief Minister said that the applicant will also have to submit a memorandum of proposed partition and field map depicting portioned parcels of land duly signed by all shareholders. Mann said that after processing by concerned Circle Revenue Officer, these online applications will be sent to Kanungo in-charge and then concerned Patwari. After verifying all the facts of the memorandum with the Revenue Record, Patwari will call the parties to be present personally for the official formalities and to initiate the mutation proceedings, he added.

Tourism beneficiaries demand better infra in Himachal Pradesh

The beneficiaries of the tourism here alleged that various governments had failed to harness the potential of tourism, which is the backbone of the economy of the state.

They said that most of the tourist hotspots and activities had been created by the masses themselves and the only job the current government had done was to earn revenue from these and impose regulations. They further added that even basic amenities like toilets were not available in most of the tourist spots. The condition of the roads was pitiable and the rail connectivity was a far off dream, proposals for which were underway for the past many decades.

Install equipment on rivers entering State from China for security: Maharaj

The States Irrigation minister Satpal Maharaj directed officials that from the security point of view, the equipment being installed under the National Hydrology Project (NHP) should be installed on rivers entering the State from China. He further directed that necessary action should be taken for approval to the Jamrani dam project under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) and that further action should be taken at the departmental level on the request made to the Government of India for provision in the Song dam project as a project of national importance.

Necessary action should be taken to get Jamrani dam project approved under PMKSY as the approval is proposed to be granted in the Central government meeting slated to be held in New Delhi on October 18. Further action at the departmental level should be ensured to follow up on the request made to the Centre for Rs 1,774 crore special assistance of State for capital expenditure or Song dam project as a project of national importance. The minister said that all technical departments should organise a seminar for exchanging information on new technologies.

Govt announces incentives for EV manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh

The cabinet cleared the New Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022. The policy aims at generating a framework under which electric vehicles can be promoted in Uttar Pradesh.

The new policy is aimed at making UP a global hub for electric mobility development and manufacturing, enabling a transition to eco-friendly transportation systems, enabling investments for development of charging or battery swapping , attracting investments for manufacturing units and supply to a global market, and promoting research and innovations in non-ICE based automobiles, battery technology, fuel cell technologies and EV electronics.

Under the policy, incentives will be provided to consumers for purchasing EVs, to manufacturers and to service providers for charging and battery swapping Services. The policy states that 100% road tax and registration fee will be waived off across all segments of EVs during the first three years of the new policy. The exemption will also be provided in the fourth and fifth years of the policy provided the vehicle has been manufactured in UP.

A 15% subsidy will be given on factory cost for purchasing two-wheeler EVs, up to maximum Rs 5,000 per vehicle, applicable to the first 2 lakh EVs purchased. Similarly, up to a maximum Rs 12,000 will be provided for three-wheelers, for the first 50,000 EVs. For 4-wheelers a subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh for the first 25,000 EVs and up to Rs 20 lakh per e-bus for the purchase of the first 400 buses will be provided. A 10% subsidy will be provided on the factory cost of e-goods carriers, up to Rs 1 lakh per vehicle for the first 1,000 e-goods carriers.

Skill project aims to curb migration: Minister

The Union governments Skilling India initiative is focussing on the post-Covid pandemic era on preventing the Migration of the rural youth to the cities by providing Skill development training in villages and localities on Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and non-agricultural sectors.

Over three crore youths have been imparted skill development training in India since 2015-16. But the Covid-19 pandemic adversely impacted their EMPLOYMENT opportunities. So now, the Skilling India programme has added a new objective to its existing ones and that is providing training in agricultural and non-agricultural sectors so that rural youths earn their livelihoods in their villages and do not migrate to cities.

Bihar government released digital content with UNICEF to ensure continuous learning during Covid times

TheState Educationdepartment of the Bihar government released online Learning content on the e-Library of teachers and students( e-LOTS) in May 2021. The measure was taken with the auspices of UNICEF to ensure continuous learning of children during the second wave ofCovid. The e-LOTS portal can be used on both android and laptops and it was also launched in May 2021, to bring all the e-content from e-books to audio-visual learning material on a single digital platform.

The web portal e-LOTS has been jointly designed by theBihar Education Project Council(BEPC) and UNICEF to create a digital library for both students and teachers. The platform was created to ensure continuous learning for the students studying from Home.

Govts ambitious scheme for girls

The Mukhyamatri Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Chhattisgarh government in which Rs 20,000 is credited directly in the bank account of girls from workers’ families for self-EMPLOYMENT and higher Education.

This was stated on Wednesday by Sushil Sunny Agrawal, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

He distributed cheques under the scheme to select girls in Bhakt Mata Karma Ward (Ward 67) and Changorabhatha of Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Ward (Ward 68) and Bhatagaon.

He said the scheme aims to empower girls in the state. Seven girls were given a cheque of Rs 20,000 each.

So far 8,262 daughters of construction workers have benefited under the scheme. A total of Rs 16.52 crore has been transferred to the accounts of the girls, an official Communication said.

Plan for construction of green field airport to be implemented

Chief Minister Chouhan said that from Madhya Pradesh, being in the middle of the country, it is possible to reach any part at a faster speed. This geographical compatibility makes it easy to realise the potential of and tourism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Scindia are striving to improve air connectivity.

The Prime Minister, Modi has done the auspicious work of the entry of Cheetahs brought from the other continent into the Kuno Palpur National Park on September 17. It has special importance in tourism development.

Madhya Pradesh has become Cheetah State after becoming Tiger and Leopard State. Expansion of air Services in Madhya Pradesh will help in the development of tourism. Chief Minister Chouhan informed that a green field airport is proposed to be constructed in Chachoda village of Dewas district near Indore. For this the land has also been marked.

This plan will be implemented soon. Along with this, work will also be done to increase the length of Rewa and Ujjain air strips in the state.

Gujarat: Ambedkar University gets A++ grade

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given the Dr BR Ambedkar Open University the A++ grade in the first round of its ranking.
This is the only state university that has got A++ and it has also become Indias first state open university to get this grade.

NAAC gave theIndian Institute of Teacher Education(IITE) the B grade.
In the second week of this month, NAAC teams had carried out inspections of universities that had applied for ranking.

Sources said most universities inGujaratdo not apply for ranking.
