eDAR portal to help expedite accident compensation claims

With an aim to getting real-time reporting of accidents, all major private and government hospitals of the district are being linked with a web portal, electronic Detailed Accident Report (eDAR), which is an extension of the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD).

Different departments will be connected with the portal which will help ascertain the cause of the mishaps. If an accident takes place due to road engineering flaws, it will be resolved by the department concerned, the DSP said.

He claimed that the investigation officers (IOs) would also upload the accident reports on the motor accident claims tribunal (MACT) website so that the victims got timely compensation.

CM gives nod to organize series of cultural festivals across Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday gave the nod to organize a series of cultural festivals across the state for emerging the state as a world class tourist destination by showcasing the rich culture, art, and legacy of the state.

The move is aimed at enhancing tourist visits in the state and establishing it as a world-class destination in coming years, said the Chief Minister, after taking the decision during a meeting of the Tourism Department.

Taking part in deliberations, the Chief Minister said that these cultural events will give a major fillip to the tourism sector in the state and will emerge Punjab prominently on the world tourist map. Besides giving impetus to tourists in the State, this move will also act as a Catalyst in making the younger generations abreast of the rich heritage of the state, he added.

Stating that the sacred land of Punjab has huge potential of attracting the tourists due to its age old HISTORY and rich cultural heritage, Mann asked the Tourism Department to prepare a complete table for organizing these cultural festivals regularly so that it emerges as a mass event.

Ukhand committed to making its police modern & smart: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to the successful candidates of the constable and firemen examination in a ceremony held at Police lines here on Tuesday. The CM personally handed over the letters of appointment to 55 candidates in the programme. The Uttarakhand police has recruited 1,425 constables and firemen in its ranks. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that a new recruitment drive will soon start to fill 1,550 vacant posts of constables in the police.

Congratulating the successful candidates, the CM said that constables are the primary unit of the police force which acts as the foundation of the department. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed constables would discharge their duties with dedication, hard work and honesty. Dhami said that the is committed to make Uttarakhand Police modern and smart as per the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Appreciating the police force, the CM said that it has created a special place for itself with friendliness, service and security. The CM said that the State government has enacted a stringent anti-copying law for ensuring a transparent process of recruitment. He said all the competitive examinations after imposition of new law have been conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The CM said that the stringent provision made in the law would prevent the copying mafia from affecting the sanctity of the examinations. To maintain the sanctity of the recruitment examinations,I resolved to undertake the strictest possiblemeasures. I was prepared to face any challenges and criticism in this endeavour, he said.

CM: Mathrubhumi Yojana to be implemented in urban areas

The Mathrubhumi Yojana is currently being implemented in rural areas and the government will soon implement it in urban areas as well, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath disclosed on Friday.

Inaugurating the Uttar Pradesh Mathrubhumi Yojana, the chief minister said, The mother and motherland are greater than heaven. There can be no comparison between them. Therefore, everyone should be given a chance to participate in the Mathrubhumi Yojana. Our government has currently implemented this scheme in rural areas. We will implement the Mathrubhumi Yojana in urban areas also.

This will serve two purposes: firstly, individuals will be able to reconnect with their roots, and secondly, they will be able to contribute towards their motherland, he added.

On this occasion, the chief minister distributed Awards to 370 outstanding gram panchayats under the Mukhyamantri Panchayat Protsahan Puraskar Yojana. Under the UP Mathrubhumi Yojana, 60 per cent of the funds will be invested by individuals willing to contribute towards their motherland, while 40 per cent of the funds will be provided by the State Government.

The chief minister said that because people were Gods greatest creation, they had a strong sense of respect for their motherland. Each person has a bond with his or her motherland. We must encourage this bond and instill faith in their hearts. Previously, people had in mind that there was misappropriation of funds in the state governments budget so if we send money, it will also be misused, he said.

The Suraji Gaon Yojana has brought an unprecedented change and awareness in rural areas of Chhattisgarh, significantly improving the social and economic status of Women.

Anupa Sahu from a Gauthan in Dhiri village in Rajnandgaon development block said that joining Gauthan proved to be a turning point in her life.

She said that livelihood activities such as vermicompost manufacturing, green-vegetable production and fish farming happen in Gauthan.

Vermicompost, greens vegetables and locally manufactured household products are supplied to nearby Anganwadi centers.

She said there are 10 members in her Jai Maa Angarmoti Women Self Help Group who are collectively working towards financial Empowerment.

Many members of this group have bought smart phones with their earnings. Rural women have become adept in running all types of applications including Phone Pay, Google Pay and WhatsApp.

The women in the group earned Rs 2.50 lakh from the sale of vermicompost.

Jan-seva Abhiyan has become a spell of good governance: CM

Vadodara tops in No. of houses with solar panels

Vadodara district has the highest number of households having solar photovoltaic panels installed under theSurya Gujarat Scheme(SGS) of the .

The district has even beat other districts having bigger cities like Ahmedabad and Surat, according to data till March 2023. However, when it comes to the total installed capacity of rooftop solar power generation under the scheme, the district ranks second after Ahmedabad.
According to an official communique, the state ranks second in the country when it comes to installed solar power capacity. It has a capacity of generating 8,887.72megawatt solar power.

The installed capacity in Ahmedabad in higher than that in Vadodara. Ahmedabad district has a total installed capacity of around 2,62,000 KW under the SGS. Against this Vadodara district has a capacity of around 2,09,000 KW.
