Haryana’s first digital bank unit opens in Faridabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first digital bank unit online from Delhi.

The digital branch will be paperless and have only three employees who will help or guide customers in availing all type of facilities, including cash deposits and loan disbursement. Addressing the function through the online mode, Modi said the digitisation of the Banking Services heralded not only a new era in the sector, this would make the services more easy and hurdle free for both banks and customers. Claiming that the country had been on the fast track of development in the sector, it would make the banking service more hassle free.

Punjab Govt bats for reopening of Attari-Wagah trade route

Himachal Pradesh to get 4 hydroelectric projects

The state will get four more hydroelectric projects, which will produce 281 million units power annually.

The financial assistance agreement for the construction of these projects Sai Kothi-I (15 MW), Sai Kothi-II (18 MW), Devi Kothi (16 MW) and Hail (18 MW) in the Tissa region of Chamba was signed today in New Delhi between the Union Government and KfW , Germany.

Thakur said these projects would be executed by the HPSEBL under the Hydropower in the Himalaya programme. He said the state would soon emerge as the clean power state as the government was laying more emphasis on its development.

Uttar Pradesh govt plans job fairs in minority-dominated regions

As part of a series of steps aimed at Muslim outreach, theYogi Adityanathgovernment now plans to organise job fairs in the minority-dominated regions of the state.

According to sources, the departments of minority welfare and labour & EMPLOYMENT will jointly organise the fairs expected after Diwali. Sources in the labour department said that the fairs are proposed to be organised close to the minority institutions and other centres of Islamic Learning.

Accounting for around 19% of the Population, the Muslim community lags far behind in many socio-religious categories (SRCs) such as Education, economic, employment, housing, landholding, access to credit and other development indicators. In fact, in government jobs, Muslims constitute 10.08% of the OBC castes, researches show.

The benefit of Mukhyamantri Rajya Nisrit Mahila Samman Pension Yojana will be given to destitute women of 18 years of age and above. The benefit of Nishakt Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana will be given to the handicapped of 05 years or more. There will be no age limit for those who are suffering from HIV/AIDS. The Deputy Commissioner said that people should benefit from the camp. Bhopal’s first GIS High Voltage substation energized

Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has innovated and developed the State’s second and Bhopal’s first GIS Substation (Gas Insulated Switch Gear Substation)to provide strength and reliability to the transmission Network of the capital Bhopal.

Gujarat announces semiconductor policy

To encourage local manufacturing of semiconductors and create two lakh jobs over the next five years,GujaratCMBhupendra Patelon Wednesday unveiled the states Semiconductor Policy 2022-27.

The policy, designed in line with the Union governments India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), offers a slew of incentives and subsidies to attract in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. An outlay of Rs 76,000 crore has also been allocated by the Union Government.

The State Government will set up the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) to function as the nodal agency for implementation of the policy.
The state government will provide additional assistance of 40% of the capital assistance from the Union government.

As part of the policy, the state government is expected to set upDholera Semicon Cityat the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) near Ahmedabad. Eligible projects will get a 75% subsidy on purchase of the first 200 acres of land for manufacturing units.
