Haryana plans Film City in Pinjore

TheHaryanagovernment is formulating a film and entertainment policy for the convenience of filmmakers and artists. Apart from this, about 60-70 acres of land inPinjorehave been earmarked for Film City. Efforts will be made to promote the culture of Haryana andPunjabin particular through theFilm City.

Khattar said Punjab-Haryana used to be a single province earlier, later Haryana came into existence in 1966. At that time it seemed that Punjab was very developed and everyone wondered about how Haryana would be able to move forward on the path of development. Include demands in new industrial policy: Bizmen

The major demands of businessmen include upgradation of techonolgy, transparency in reimbursement of incentives and preference to micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) in allotment of land in big industrial projects.

The clause for investing 50% of the original fixed capital should be abolished and benefits should be available to any Industry regardless of the amount of fixed capital. The government should also encourage intra-state competition, not competition within the state,

The government should extend one-time settlement scheme to all disputes under new Industrial Policy. The provision for mandatory infrastructural upgrade at the Focal Points and industrial areas should also be kept.

HP lists out steps for effective monitoring

To ensure effective implementation of ban on single-use plastics from July 1,Himachal Pradeshadditional chief secretary PrabodhSaxenahas directed various departments and deputy commissioners to ensure effective steps.

He said manufacturing, transport, storage, distribution, sale and use of single-use plastic items such as plastic stick earbuds, plastic sticks for balloons, ice cream sticks, candy sticks, plastic flags, polystyrene (thermocol) used in decoration, cutlery, plates, cups, knives, trays, glasses, forks, straws, etc would be prohibited.

In a key decision, the state wildlife board has decided to set up a centre of excellence to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts and to impart knowledge about wildlife health to all the stakeholders, including local villagers, who would be trained in the centre. Divulging details, forest minister Subodh Uniyal told TOI, We want to strike a fine balance between nature and humans.

The main objective of the centre of excellence, which would be the country’s first such centre, is to turn our forests into areas with abundant food and water sources so animals don’t have to venture into human habitations for their needs.

Meanwhile, the state wildlife board in its 17th meeting chaired by chief ministerPushkar SinghDhami on Tuesday gave its nod to send a proposal to the National Wildlife Board seeking its clearance for ropeway links to major pilgrimage sites, includingKedarnathtemple and Hemkund Sahib. The government had announced a 13-km ropeway project from Sonprayag in Rudraprayag district to Kedarnath. The project will aid pilgrims who have to currently trek a long distance to Kedarnath from Gaurikund.

Jharkhand sees improvement in girls education in terms of dropout rate, finds Centres data

Jharkhandhas witnessed an improvement in girls Education as far as the dropout rate is concerned, according to the data of the Union ministry of Women and child development (MWCD).

The data said the transition rate the number of girls joining a higher class after being promoted has increased from 83.50% in 2018 to 87.26% in 2022 in classes V and VI. Similarly, the transition rate from Class VIII to IX has increased from 78.7% in 2018 to 79.95% in 2022.

The data was provided during a zonal meet on Aspirational districts The impact on women and children’ organised by the MWCD in collaboration with the Jharkhand government here on Saturday. During the meet, teams fromChhattisgarh,Odishaand Jharkhand presented their reports on women and child development.

The teams of these three states also discussed the initiatives taken for women and child development under the aspirational districts’ programme. The programme focused on improving education, Malnutrition treatment, Skill development and EMPLOYMENT.

Natl MSME Awards: Bihar gets 2nd prize

Prime MinisterNarendra Modiconferred the second prize in NationalMSME Awards2022 toBiharin the category of states/UTs for outstanding contributions to the promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) sector.

The award was received by principal secretary (industries) Sandeep Paundrik on behalf of state department at a function organised by ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises at Delhi.

The National MSME Awards is awarded in several categories for the outstanding work done by the state governments, institutions or individuals for the development and promotion of MSME across the country.

Cgarh launches Tuhar Paudha Tuhar Dwar

The Chhattisgarh government on Friday launched a plantation drive, Tuhar Paudha Tuhar Dwar, with Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar formally flagging off publicity vehicles filled with different species of Plants.

In the current monsoon season, the government has set a target of planting 2.81 crore saplings across the state.

The government will plant 1.14 crore saplings and distribute 1.67 lakh saplings to citizens for plantation.

A total of 3.12 crore saplings are ready for the scheme in 257 nurseries, an official Communication said.

A doorstep delivery of saplings is being done by the government. Those interested can telephone 75870 11614 to get 1-5 saplings in municipal areas of Raipur.

Give priority to local youth in employment: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that special attention should be given on top priority to the EMPLOYMENT of local youth at the time of establishment of industries and expansion of work of old industrial units.

For promotion, the State Government is extending full assistance as per the provisions of the Industry Policy on setting up of new units in various sectors. He said that eligible children of tribals should be given employment opportunities in these units in tribal-dominated areas.

Government schemes: cooperative banks to use Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile

Union Home and cooperation minister AmitShahsaid that cooperative sector banks will soon be given permission to implement government welfare schemes, which use the trinity of Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) for direct benefit transfer (DBT).
JAM is the Centres initiative to linkJan Dhanaccounts, mobile numbers and Aadhaar cards to plug leakages of government subsidies.

The cooperative sector has been kept away from JAM DBT schemes. But the Centre has now decided to allow the to implement these government schemes.

At present, 52 ministries use DBT with the help of JAM to provide assistance to beneficiaries under 300 government schemes.
