With the objective to tap Punjabs growth potential by developing a vibrant environment for entrepreneurship, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Wednesday launched Innovation Mission Punjab (IMPunjab) a public private partnership that brings in the best global investors and experts to catalyze start-ups making Punjab one of the top three States in innovation.

The Mission will mobilize a global pool of ambassadors and partners for , mentorship, and market access, said Capt Amarinder adding that the Mission will also leverage the strength of the Punjabi diaspora, allowing them to partake in this renewed Growth story of Punjab besides running focused programs to encourage Entrepreneurship amongst Women.

Besides, the Innovation Mission Punjab will act as a Catalyst to strengthen by rallying rally all the stakeholders viz academia, incubators, investors, startups, government, progressive farmers, Sports people, media, Industry, and corporate, said Capt Amarinder.

The draft of the food and nutrition policy has been prepared and will be uploaded on the website of the HP State Food Commission so that all stakeholders can be sensitised and their feedback can be obtained, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while launching the website.

He said that an integrated and comprehensive food policy would help in directing Himachal on the path of a healthy state. He added that the government was ensuring that every eligible citizen gets the benefits of various schemes such as the (PDS), mid-day meal, integrated child development Services and the Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana.

The state ofUttarakhandwill deploy women asGypsydrivers and nature guides across all tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. Until now, only men were employed in these wildlife tourism activities.This comes just months after the government had announced in March that women Gypsy drivers referred to as pilots and nature guides would be appointed atCorbett Tiger Reserveafter training them.

Notably, two in Madhya Pradesh Kanha Tiger Reserve-National Park and the Pench Tiger Reserve-National Park have Women guides who accompany tourists to core areas to catch a glimpse of the big cat. But this is not across sanctuaries and does not include pilots.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the previous governments used to set their corrupt eyes on the money of the poor and underprivileged but after the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana the money was now going straight into the accounts of the beneficiaries.

The keys were symbolically handed over to five beneficiaries of Ayodhya, Sonbhadra and Rae Bareli, while the other beneficiaries attended the programme through the virtual medium.

Yogi also interacted with some of the beneficiaries from various districts through video conferencing.

Appreciating the work done by the Rural Development department, the chief minister asked officials concerned to connect all Women with the self-help groups. Around 52 lakh women of the state were linked with the rural livelihood mission and were provided funds from the revolving fund.

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, the Medha Krishi Utsav was organised by the Jharkhand State Cooperative Milk Federation at Fisheries Training Center, Dhurwa, Ranchi on Monday. In this event, Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh launched the scheme of providing Re.1 subsidy per litre to milk producers who supply milk to Jharkhand State Cooperative Milk Federation.

The Minister also lauded the working system and progress of the milk federation and assured that the will provide all possible help to the federation. Earlier, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Jharkhand Milk Federation welcomed the minister and showed him the work done by the federation so far, the status of three Dairy Plants being built and future goals.

Jharkhand State Milk Federation which is popularly known as Medha brand is following the lessons of continuous progress in efficient management of National Dairy Development Board since last six years. Presently about 40,000 milk producing families are associated with the Milk Federation from 18 districts of the state which are supplying about 1.30 lakh litres of milk per day.

At present four dairy plants under Milk Federation (Hotwar, Koderma, Latehar and Deoghar) are running with a processing capacity of 1.40 lakh litres while additional three new plants namely Sarath-Deoghar, Sahiganj, Palamu are in the final stages of construction and production will soon begin there. Apart from this, a Cattle Feed Plant, Mineral Mixer Plant, Bypass Feed and Cold Breeding Plant is also being established and operated by the federation in Medha Dairy premises located at Hotwar with the aim of reducing the production cost of milk producers and increasing the quality of milk.

Legal experts and academics laid emphasis on the need to develop a foolproof mechanism for the delivery of impartial justice to women in need. They observed that easy access to the legal system could allow women to safeguard their interests.

Participating in a two-day national conference on Womens Access to through Legal Aid organised byCentral University of South Bihar(CUSB) and Bihar Legal Network, the experts maintained that judiciaries would have to find innovative ways of handling cases of domestic violence, rape, child custody, divorce, right to alimony and property.

Chhattisgarh is a leading state in the country in providing individual and community forest rights land deeds.

So far, 21,95,228 hectares of land have been distributed to 4.86 lakh individuals, an official Communication said.

The Minister told the officials to work with coordination for better living of the tribals in the remote areas of the state.

For every 100 vaccine doses that were provided toMadhya Pradesh, it has administered vaccines to at least 104 people, putting the state at 11th position on the national chart.Chhattisgarh tops with 10% ‘negative wastage’, or 110 doses administered per 100 received, according to information provided under RTI Act by the health ministry to Neemuch-based activist Chandrashekhar Gaur.

In fact, states are squeezing out the maximum from the doses allotted to them a complete turnaround from the initial days when vaccine wastage was a concern. Only five states still figure in the vaccine wastage category Odisha (0.75%), Jammu and Kashmir (0.93%), Manipur (1.54%), Tripura (3.54%) and Meghalaya (3.74%).

The proposed plant of Gujarat CooperativeMilkMarketing Federation (GCMMF) in Rajkot is facing troubles because of want of land. The dairy giant has rejected a piece of 100-acre land that was identified by Rajkot collectorate near Anandpar because of its high price.GCMMFhas demanded another piece of land.

The federations total budget for the proposed plant is around Rs 500 crore. Sources said that the 100-acre land offered by the Rajkot collectorate in revenue survey numbers of Anandpar, Navagam and Sokhda villages on Ahmedabad highway costs around Rs 2.75 crore per acre.
Amul has sought 100-acre land to install a milk processing plant with capacity of 30 lakh litre per day (LLPD).

Rajkot is a strategic location for a plant for milk coming from all districts of Saurashtra. Currently, around 30 LLPD from Saurashtra and Kutch is sent to Amuls Gandhinagar plant where milk products like srikhand, chocolate, cheese and butter are manufactured. The Gandhinagar plant has capacity to process 50 LLPD.

GCMMF currently spends Rs 30 lakh per day for the transporting surplus milk from various parts of Saurashtra to Gandhinagar. This cost will be saved and the milk collection from this region will be increased once Rajkot plant commences operation. The time consumed in transportation of milk will also reduce. Milk collected from every location of Saurashtra travels around 300 km before reaching Gandhinagar plant.

Theexcise departmenthas posted healthy earnings in the first five months of financial year 2021-22 on the back of strong sales.

As per the figures, the department has earned a revenue of Rs 4,685 crore between April and August. This is Rs 1,374 crore higher than the previous fiscal year 2020-21 and Rs 1,031 crore higher than 2019-2000. In April, the department earned highest revenue of Rs 1,156 crore.

After making amendments in the policy (2021- 2022), the excise department organised the e-auction for the first time, instead of allotting shops through lottery.
Under the new policy, Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country-made liquor both are being sold in the same shop. In phase-1 on Wednesday, 3,262 bidders participated to bid for 1,669 shops including 81 from Jaipur.
