To provide dignified livelihoods to over 20,000tribal womenengaged in selling Hadiya (rice beer), theJharkhandStateLivelihoodPromotion Society (JSLPS) in collaboration with an international NGO Green Digital has launched a project to generate income.

The project, Advancing Tribal Livelihood and Self Reliance (ATLAS), aims to provide alternative livelihoods to such Women by assisting them on the modern Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) based agricultural practices.

On the criteria of beneficiaries to be covered by the project, Sahay said, All beneficiaries of Phulo Jhano Ashirvad Scheme, as well as those who are involved in the manufacturing and sale of alcoholic drinks like Hadiya, will be selected under the project. Digital Green will provide the beneficiaries with the latest technology and equipment.

A green belt with dense canopy trees will be developed along the Ganga as part of the state governments measures to curb pollution level in the state capital, said minister of environment, forest and climate change (EFCC)Neeraj Kumar Singh, while releasing the report of source apportionment study for ambient particulates matter (pm) -2021 for Patna.

He said plantation on the banks of the Ganga would help in checking the windblown dust sediments reaching the state capital and adding to its pollution load.

The North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA), a grouping of non-resident Indians from Chhattisgarh, was awarded Organisation of the Year title in the 10th Annual Global Community Oscars Award.

As part of its preparedness for the projected third wave ofCovid-19 infections, the state government is all set to add at least 500 pressure swing adsorption (PSA)oxygenplants to augment the existing oxygen producing capacity in the state. This will take the total number of oxygen plants to 553 acrossGujarat.

Gujarat currently has an Oxygen manufacturing capacity of at least 1,000MT, according to sources. A majority of this is diverted towards industrial consumption. In routine times, the medical consumption of oxygen is barely 50MT in a day.
The new Plants that are being commissioned include 392 being set up by the government and the remaining by private sector.

Contracts for collection ofroyaltywill be issued through a bidding process and the mines department expects over Rs 550 crore from the auctions. A senior official of the mines and petroleum department said the auctions would be held from second week of September for 74 licences in 17 districts for various minerals.

The auctions will be conducted forroyaltycollection contracts, excess royalty collection,RajasthanState Mineral Exploration Trust, District Mineral Fund Trust, permit and weighing of Minerals. The royalty will be collected from minerals like soapstone, sandstone, marble, silica sand, limestone, quartz, feldspar, bentonite and mica, etc.

A total of 461 housing projects have been registered with theTamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority(TNRERA) so far this year, which is an increase by 22% when compared to the corresponding period of 2020.

Data available with the state’s real estate regulatory authority’s portal states that a total of 461 housing projects have been registered till July 28, 2021. During the corresponding period of last year, 377 projects were registered with TNRERA.

This year, 135 new housing projects came under the ambit of the state’s real estate regulator from May 7 to July 28. Around 100 projects that were registered in the past three months between May and July are coming up in Chennai, Chengalpet,KancheepuramandTiruvallurdistricts.

As per the rules of Nadu Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, all ongoing housing projects with a minimum of eight units meant for sale and housing plots should be registered with the TNRERA.
