Women empowerment will strengthen Cgarh: Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said Women Empowerment through livelihood centres in Gauthans will also strengthen Chhattisgarh.

The Gauthan has a unit for to produce paint from cow dung. The Chanchal Women’s Self-Help Group is operating it. So far, they have produced 1,200 liters of cow dung paint, of which 300 liters have been sold generating an income of Rs 67,500.

In addition, the women’s group has purchased 730.68 quintals of cow dung for organic manure production. This has resulted in an income of Rs 2.72 lakh for the group.

The Mahamaya Kisan Abhiruchi Women’s Self-Help Group has produced 35.24 quintals of vermicompost at the Hanchalpur Gauthan, leading to a profit of Rs 5,51,000.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the “Mela Panchang Year 2023-24” developed by the Madhya Pradesh Pilgrimage and Fair Authority at Samatva Bhavan. In an executive committee meeting of theState Water and Sanitation Mission, the government has sanctioned more than Rs 15 crore for works related toJal Jeevan MissioninRajasthanfor this fiscal.

In the meeting, it was planned to provide 26.40 lakh water connections this financial year and another 23.40 new connections in the next.
