Goan-built vessel to help Maldives with maritime research, environment protection

A 30-meter catamaran built byVijai Marine Shipyardat Rassaim was handed over on Monday to the Maldives government to undertake marine research. Funded by the (WB), the vessel – Thimaaveshi will help the Maldivian ministry of Environment,Climate Changeand Technology to track the effects of Climate Change, impact on coral reefs and Fisheries.

IIT Kharagpur helped Vijai Marine with the design and vessel construction.

Chief minister Pramod Sawant flagged off the vessel which will set sail for Maldives on Tuesday. This 30 meter catamaran ship has been built in Goa and this ship is a proud moment as it symbolizes Make in India and Make in Goa too. This ship has been built for the Maldives government, said Sawant.

QR code display for projects must from Aug 1: MahaRERA

TheMaharashtraReal Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) on Monday directed to display QR codes of all registered housing projects, along with their registration numbers, in all advertisements or Social Media display from August 1.

The authority started issuing QR codes for registered projects in March. A homebuyer can scan the QR code and get vital information about a project, such as the

commencement and completion date, details of any complaints registered, besides necessary approvals. Also, modifications in approved plans and

project renewal, too, are included in the QR code. Nearly 40,000 projects are registered with the MahaRERA.

This streamlined accessibility aims to empower customers in making informed decisions regarding their property investments.
MahaRERA officials said that under the RERA Act developers are required to update project information on their websites every 3 to 6 months.

Fatehabad N-plant likely to begin operations in 2028

The first unit of North Indias first nuclear power plant, situated in Gorakhpur village in Fatehabad district of Haryana, is likely to commence operations in June 2028.

This information was given at a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal regarding the coordination of officials of the Haryana Government and Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana here

Providing an update on the projects progress, project director, GHAVP, Niranjan Kumar Mittal, said 74 per cent of the ground improvement work had been completed. Additionally, essential equipment such as end shields and steam generators for the first unit, along with critical reactor components, had been received at the site.

Sunam first in Punjab to have robotics labs at schools: Aman Arora

In a big push to upgrade Education, Sunam has become the first Assembly constituency in the state to have started the

process of setting up Robotics labs in all 18 Government Senior secondary schools.

One lab was inaugurated on Saturday by Minister Aman Arora and for the remaining 17 labs, authorities have dispatched latest equipment. Apart from robotics, three XR reality labs are also being set up with the help of a German firm.

Sukhu urges Centre to hand over Shanan project to HP

Himachal Pradesh chief ministerSukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday raised the issue of handing over the Shanan project to the state with Union power minister R K Singh in New Delhi.

During his meeting with the Union minister, Sukhu informed him that the 99-year lease period of the Shanan project would expire in March next year as per the lease agreement and asked for issuing necessary directions to thePunjabgovernment for taking mandatory steps for handing over the project to the hill state before the expiry of the lease period. Sukhu also apprised the Union minister about the facts regarding the share of the state in the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) and sought 12% water royalty for his state. He said due to the construction of various projects by the BBMB, many townships were forced to rehabilitate and even after 50 years, a number of oustees were yet to get compensation.

U’khand asks to spend nights in rural pockets of hills & meet locals

In an effort to help people living in far-flung pockets of the Himalayan state, theUttarakhandgovernment has announced that Ias officers would now have to spend nights in rural pockets of hills and meet the locals.

Following the directives from senior authorities, the state planning department has passed an order in this regard which states that the process of visiting hill districts and staying in remote villages would commence from June. According to the guidelines for the next one year, the officers would have to visit the assigned areas once in each 15 days. Within a

week of the visit, they would be required to hand over their report to the government.

For the plain areas of the state, additional chief secretaries Radha Raturi and Anand Bardhan would visit three districts of Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital once in three months. The first list for the month of June contains names of 21 IAS officers who would visit the remaining 10 districts.

Yogi launches projects worth Rs 412 crore in Mainpuri

In his first visit to Mainpuri after urban civic polls, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated as well as laid foundations of projects worth Rs 412 crore in the district.

While inaugurating 23 industrial projects worth Rs 238.30 crore and laying the foundation stones of 40 development projects worth Rs 173.19 crore, the chief minister said that the government was working hard to make Mainpuri one of the most developed districts of the state.

Floating islands, boats, lighting: H’bag lake to get Rs 5-cr facelift

In a bid to make theHazaribag Lakeone of the most attractive tourist destinations inJharkhand, Hazaribag deputy commissioner (DC) Nancy Sahay has taken a slew of measures. A total of Rs 1 crore has been released from the District Mineral Trust Fund (DMFT) for developing the lake, she stated.

Besides, deputy development commissioner-cum-municipal

commissioner Prerna Dixit has allotted an additional Rs 4 crore for development projects at the site. The Hazaribag has purchased a boat worth over Rs 2 crore to clean the water bodies. An open air amphitheatre at the trijunction of the Hazaribag Lake and selfie points have been constructed.

RIPAs innovative ideas transforming rural areas

Rural Industrial Parks (RIPAs) have significantly boosted rural in Chhattisgarh and are transforming the rural areas with innovative ideas.

Currently, the State Government is in the process of establishing 300 RIPA units which aim to empower Women economically.

RIPAs are being established to bring together women self-help groups and young individuals who aspire to start their own businesses but lack sufficient space and Resources.

In the first phase, two RIPAs each are being established in seven development blocks of Raigarh district.

Various income-generating activities including vermicompost production, community gardening, fish farming, Poultry farming and goat farming are being conducted.

Additionally, RIPAs also include fabrication units, sewing units, aluminum fabrication, mushroom production and facilities for oil processing, flour milling, mini rice mills and cow dung paint manufacturing units.

Loans are being made available through various schemes. Many of these activities are actively undertaken by local youths.
