Rice distribution in Andhra Pradesh through two channels till November 2021: Official

has decided to distribute PDS rice through two different channels till November due to shortage of quality rice stock. While the sortex variety stock will be distributed through mobile dispensing units (MDU), rice procured fromFood Corporation of India(Fci) will be distributed under Centres quota at ration depots.

In fact, the state government

had spent close to Rs 3,100 crore to manage the distribution of rice, Bengal gram/redgram to meet all the requirements of PMGKAY-I and II, PDS from April 2020 to November 2020 when two separate quotas of ration was issued to the cardholders in view of the Covid-19 lockdown.

However, the Centre in the last week of June announced free distribution of rice under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM GKAY-III) from July to November. He said that they would require 10.78 lakh metric tonnes of rice to take up the distribution under PM GKAY.

Mobile towers in Goa strictly monitored, radiation within norms: Telecom dept

Misinformation about radiation from mobile towers is alarming in Goa, the department of telecommunications (DoT) said on Saturday. It said that several studies have shown that mobile tower electromagnetic frequency (EMF) radiation has no adverse impact on peoples Health.

The EMF project of World Health Organisation (WHO), after two decades of extensive research has corroborated that there is no evidence to support the claim that exposure to low-level electromagnetic fields is harmful to human health. The WHO has studied over 25,000 articles and reached the conclusion that there is no correlation between mobile tower EMF emissions and its hazardous impact on human health.

In India, EMF radiation norms are 10 times stricter than the limits prescribed by the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and recommended by the WHO.

Maratha quota: Maharashtra govt calls for amending Constitution

If the applicant is not allottee or subletee as per rules of the Municipality but fulfils all the eligibility criteria of the policy, then they will also have to pay a lump sum regular fee of Rs 30,000 in addition to the amount and tax to be paid as mentioned in the policy.

According to a government spokesperson, the state government was providing financial assistance to farmers in different agro-climatic zones for cultivating medicinal plants under the National Ayush Mission. Various farmer clusters have been prepared for this purpose. To avail the financial assistance, a farmer cluster must cover at least two hectares. A cluster can comprise three adjoining villages within 15-km radius.

As part of efforts to better deal with the Covid-19 situation, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat virtually inaugurated oxygen generation plants in five hospitals in different parts of the state. The oxygen plants inaugurated by the CM include a 250 LPM plant at Bageshwar district hospital, 100 LPM plant at Champawat district hospital, 200 LPM plant at Pithoragarh district hospital and 1,000 LPM capacity plants each in Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant and Coronation Hospital in Dehradun.

The Chief Minister said that if different areas would be developed, only then Jharkhand can be raised in the category of a leading State. To give a separate identity to the State, the role of tribals has to be decided. The council will prove to be helpful in preparing a better action plan for the tribal community. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday told officials to ensure supply of green fodder to all the gauthans constructed under Suraji Gaon Yojana.

In gauthans reserve land meant for grazing, napier grass should be grown. The Forest Department should also take up plantation of green fodder. It should be then supplied to the gauthans, Baghel said.

The gauthan

committees which are not active will be revived. The incomplete gauthans should be completed on priority. The Roka Chheka drive in villages should commence from July 1, said Baghel.
