of 5,808 hectares of cultivable land will receive water through the project, benefiting more than 2,700 farmers, the release added.
37 villages of these two talukas have remained out of the Dharoi dam command area because of the geographical conditions prevalent there, the statement said. With farmers relying on ground water for their crops, the water table has been depleting in these villages.
