Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday claimed that the was making every possible effort for environmental conservation. One of the core objectives of the state government’s flagship Godhan NYAY Yojana is environmental protection and conservation, he said.
The Chief Minister, at a programme held at his official residence on World Environment Day, said that the state government was actively working towards improving the environment through various schemes, including Suraji Gaon Yojana, Mukhyamantri Vriksharopan Protsahan Yojana, Vriksh Sampada Yojana, and Krishna Kunj Yojana.
Earlier the Chief Minister planted a sapling of an Amla tree in his official residence to mark the occasion.
He urged the residents of the state to take responsibility for planting and maintaining Plants in their homes and surroundings.
Baghel also emphasized on the importance of extensive tree plantation during the upcoming monsoon season and encouraged efforts to transform villages, pasturelands, fields, and forests into lush green landscapes.
