A geotechnical evaluation of Bauxite deposits will be carried out in Chhattisgarh. TheChhattisgarhCouncil of Science and Technology (CGCOST),Raipur, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research, Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), Ministry of Mines, Government of India, on Wednesday for the project Geotechnical Evaluation of Bauxite Reserves in Chhattisgarh.

prepare a district-wise digital Database of laterite and bauxite deposits using geo-referenced maps and conduct geotechnical assessment of bauxite and laterite deposits located in Chhattisgarh with the help of Space Technology.

The aluminium is facing a shortage of good grade raw Ore and bauxite mining industries use aluminium in various forms and processes. This project will benefit the industry.
