Highlights:
The Power Ministry has circulated the Draft Electricity (promoting renewable electricity through Green Energy Open Access) Rules, 2021.
These policies are proposed to buy and consume inexperienced electricity, including the power from Waste-to-Energy Plants.
The inexperienced power draft policies have supplied important points such as Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO); Green electricity open access; Nodal Agencies; Procedure for furnishing of inexperienced electricity open access; Banking; and go subsidy surcharge.
The draft regulations state inexperienced hydrogen is the hydrogen produced by the usage of electricity from renewable sources.
