Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami appreciated the Industry department for organising the Vanijya Utsav as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Inaugurating the event on Tuesday Dhami said the export from Uttarakhand has nearly doubled in the past five years. Uttarakhands exports were valued at Rs 10,836 crore in 2017-18 which have increased in value to Rs 15,914 crore in 2020-21.

The automobile and pharmaceutical units are emerging as the biggest exporters in the state. Apart from these, floriculture, Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Food Processing, organic produce, aromatic-medicinal Plants, Biotechnology and handicrafts are also being exported from the state, said Dhami.

Minister Ganesh Joshi said Uttarakhand is emerging as an industrial destination for industrialists around the world. He also spoke about the various measures and plans of the State Government aimed at boosting industrial development in Uttarakhand.
