Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday inaugurated a newly commissioned oxygen plant at Sadar hospital of Sahebganj district. The plant based on Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) technology will cater to the need of oxygen for the patients suffering from Covid 19.

Sahebganj Sadar hospital has a total of 50 beds with Oxygen support. But, with the PSA plant the hospital can supply oxygen to other districts and hospitals on the demand basis. The PSA plant can generate 5000 litres of oxygen per hour.

The Chief minister, who inaugurated the plant through video conferencing, said that the government and people of Jharkhand are determined to fight against Covid -19.

The CM said that his government is committed to the improvement of Health as well as treatment of Covid 19 patients. He informed that the vaccination drive for people aged between 18 and 44 years too has been started from Friday adding that initially across Jharkhand 496 vaccination centres have been set-up for this purpose. So far, all 24 districts have been allotted 179800 vials of the vaccine.
