Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said Chhattisgarh is rich in biodiversity and steps are being taken by the government for its conservation and promotion.

During the presentation, Member Secretary, Arun Kumar Pandey, said about 12,000 PBRs (Public Biodiversity Registers) have been set up in the state.

The work of opening a bird interpretation and awareness center in Gidhwa Parsada area, to also function as a bird safari, is also in progress. Nature Trails and Biodiversity Awareness Walks are also being developed in select locations.
