All states except 7 in Northeast to have at least one Vande Bharat train by next month

In the next one month, all states will get at least one Vande Bharat train connectivity, except the seven states in the North East where the RAILWAY Network has not been electrified 100%. Sources said with faster roll out of such semi-high speed trains, more cities will get the Vande Bharat trains.
So far these trains have covered 21 states and UTs. Officials said the next three trains will start soon on New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati, Ranchi-Patna and Mumbai-Goa routes. Currently, 17 such trains are operational. One train is under trial, another has been dispatched from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and one more spare rake is available in Delhi region, said

Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Beneficiaries to Get In Cash From June 2023

All beneficiaries of theMadhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) of the Odisha Government will receive the money at disbursement centers on 15th of every month in the form of cash from June of 2023.

The government has written a letter in this regard to all Collectors and Commissioners of Municipal Corporatios.

The decision was taken as many elderly and physically challenged persons were finding it difficult to withdraw money fromtheir bank accounts. This apart, some beneficiaries have not received pension due to technical glitch in the portal.

Tamil Nadu govt signs 6 MoUs worth Rs 800 crore with Japanese firms

GuidanceTamil Nadu signed six MoUs with Japanese companies and their Indian joint venture partners to cumulatively attract investments of close to Rs 820 crore.

These MoUs were signed in the presence of chief minister M K Stalin, at the end of an investors conclave, organised by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo.

Three of the six MoUs were signed by Guidance Nadu along with Chennai-based 2,800 crore Polyhose group with its three Japanese joint venture companies Kohyei, Sato-Shoji Metal Works and Tofle for expanding their existing operations near Chennai and manufacturing additional products.

These three MoUs would together facilitate Investment of 550 crore and pave way for manufacturing polycarbonate sheets, roofs and extrusion lines for electronic components for use in the construction Industry, high-end steel parts to be used in aerospace and defense industries and stainless steel specialised flexible hoses.

Wayanad to get country’s first-ever digital tribal hamlets

Wayanad would get the first-ever digital tribal hamlets in the country, K Radhakrishnan, Minister for the Welfare of Backward and Scheduled Communities.

The ‘Digitally Connected Tribal Colonies’ project which integrates e-Education and e-Health on tribal hamlets is expected to improve the health and education sectors of the tribals with the help of various digital platforms.

The project is being implemented by the State Scheduled Tribes Development Department with the help of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. CDAC, under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is executing the project.

As part of the project, smart classrooms would be introduced in tribal colonies, which would also be linked with the comprehensive e-resource portal of the General Education Department.

The project would make use of the online Services of institutions like Regional Cancer Centre, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, and CSIR-NIIST for the tribal villages of Wayanad.

A telemedicine system would be set up for screening of non-communicable diseases and diabetic retinopathy, oral cancer and cervical cancer with the help of and providing expert advice for treatment, the department said in a release.

ICAR-NIANP signs MoU for research in poultry sciences

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (ICAR-NIANP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with theKarnatakaPoultry Farmers and Breeders Association (KPFBA) to further collaborative research in the field of sciences.

The MoU was signed by Dr Raghavendra Bhatta, director of ICAR-NIANP, Bengaluru and BSushanthRai, president of KPFBA. As the poultry sector faces enormous challenges, the need for collaborative research, particularly in the field of animal nutrition is becoming urgent.

DAZN launches India development centre in Hyderabad

DAZN, an international over-the-top Sports streaming service, has announced the establishment of a major technology centre of excellence (COE) in Hyderabad.

The COE is coming up on their new sprawling one lakh sq ft office at Aurobindo Galaxy in Hyderabad Knowledge City. DAZN aims to invest Rs 200 crore on this new India development centre in Hyderabad and recruit 1,000 people by December this year.

Cybercrimes up in Vizag; 200 cases in 5 months

The number of cybercrime cases in city is on the rise despite the efforts by the Police to create awareness among the local residents. Over 200 cases have been reported between January and May this year. Over 70 per cent of the cases were related to financial crimes.

Police said the victims have lost their hard-earned to online fraudsters. Most of the victims are educated and working in the technology sector. The cybercrimes police station in Visakhapatnam registered at least 316 cases in 2021 in which fraudsters stole about 7.9 crore. The number of cybercrime cases in city shot up to 600 in 2022.

‘Polish tech’ to monitor Goa beach noise

The , which is trying to curb the disturbance caused by noisy open-air parties and events along Goa’s coast, has finalised a Pune-based firm offering ‘Polish technology’ to help monitor Noise Pollution on 12 beaches, for now.

Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) chairman Mahesh Patil said that it has entered a five-year contract with Velan Technologies, which will install equipment made to meet the norms of the EU and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

The 12 spots include party hotspots like Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Vagator, Colva, and Morjim, among others.

Storage in big Maharashtra dams now lower than 2022 levels

Live storage in several major Dams ofMaharashtra, mainly in Pune region as well as Konkan, has plunged lower than last year’s stock.

In Konkan, which includes dam projects in Palghar, Thane, Sindhudurg and Raigad, live storage is now 33% in comparison to 42% of last year’s same period. In Pune region, which includes major projects in Pune,Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur, live storage has dropped to 17% from last year’s 23 %.

The live storage in all major dams in the Amravati revenue region is 42%, slightly lower than 43% on the same day last year. In the Aurangabad revenue region too, the level is currently 39.56 % , as against 40.63 % recorded on May 29, 2022. The collective water stock in the four Pune dams (Khadakwasla, Varasgaon, Panshet and Temghar) was 7.07 TMC (24.24%) on Monday. Same period last year, it was 6.28 TMC (21.56%).
