C’garh gets India’s biggest millet processing industry

Under the Chhattisgarh government’s Millet Mission and in collaboration with Avani Ayurveda Pvt Ltd, Indias biggest millet processing plant was launched in Kanker district on Friday.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel dedicated to the public the plant in Nathiya Nawagaon of Bastar region for value addition and packaging process of .

The unit will process rice, porridge, semolina, flour vermicelli, pasta, soup mix, biscuits, cookies and laddus made from kodo-kutki-ragi.

raw material for the unit will be provided by the Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Federation (CMFPCF), for which a MoU has been signed between the Chhattisgarh government and Avani Ayurveda.

Subsidy will be provided by the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corp (CSIDC) for the unit.
